      Honestly man, satellite view on Google maps mixed in with Google Earth, local truck routes online with weights and heights, updates for construction, see exactly where your entrances are, logging roads are a breeze ..... Old timers gotta admit, technology has come in pretty handy for this industry. If your memory isn't the greatest, you shouldn't follow the GPS blindly, instead mark your turns a, b, c, manually as you scout. I've got it down to a science. Done all of Canada on my own never been somewhere I shouldn't be. Hell I can find the Indian reservations waaaay up north off the satellite view and they're all labeled.

    Would love to see the trailer fitted as pure living space. 2 bedrooms in the front with shared full bath, master suite in the back with king-size bed lofted over master bathroom, kitchen/living room and half bath in the middle. Slide outs for the bedrooms and living room would just be icing on the cake.

      Exactly this. I understand the golf cart, that's a useful vehicle to get around with when going "camping" with this rig. But why did they bring the tractor? What for? I rather have that space as living space instead.

    Beautiful rig - love the color. I had no idea the sport of tractor pulling was so lucrative. The only thing I did not like about this setup is there is no direct access between the cab and sleeper. You have to exit the cab to get into the sleeper which IMO is a big drawback. I wonder what was the thinking behind this arrangement.

    Nice rig. Every driver I’ve ever met who owns a large car has a single wide and no retirement savings. Priorities you know.

    • @lindaartz3297
      @lindaartz3297 Год назад +1

      He can live in it when he retires. Or sell it and live off the investment from it. I have a friend who races cars.
      The back is for the car and the front is a full kitchen and lounge area and above than is his personal lounge. It wasn’t this tricked out but very nice. His driver is the boss of the cook area and turns out fabulous meals. Huge awning for outside work on the car and entertaining area. They spend a lot of time on the road during racing season.
      We had a husband/ wife team move us one time. She was the main driver and they had a cat. No kids so she said they had a very small house because they were on the road most of the time. Makes sense to have the best quarters where you spend most of your time.

    So you can't get to the bunk or lounge area from the cab you have to stop and get out and go outside then into the sleeper then back outside and into the lounge area?

  • @lightningstrikestwice6302
    @lightningstrikestwice6302 2 года назад +9

    I pity the mechanics that have to work on that truck. Back in the '80s I was working for an independent shop. We had a customer that hauled computers from San Francisco Bay area to the northeast. He had a long wheelbase Kenworth with a huge sleeper on it. Had hundreds of marker lights outlining the truck and the trailer. Plus custom paint and all other kinds of crap. Cost him a fortune to maintain. That was before leds. Voltage drops galore! He was a nice guy, just an oversized ego. Felt sorry for him he weighed probably 350 lb. But his hair was perfect along with his gold chains. Don't think he led a healthy life. Maybe a glamorous one in his eyes. In the end who cares about all the bling? I guess the guys paying for it. Sometimes kiss (keep it simple stupid) is better.

  • @workonitm8

    That truck is a beauty but a road hog. Accommodations at truck stops could be difficult and at some crowded terminals impossible to dock because of it's length and turning radius. Just getting around corners in cities could be a nightmare.

    • @Corky3D
      @Corky3D 2 года назад +3

      Truck doesn't go to terminals or dock. It's a tractor pulling hauler. They haul their pulling tractor to events/competitions with it. So they usually park at the event/competition then go home or to the next show.

    • @erickearnes9644
      @erickearnes9644 8 месяцев назад

      JUST WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW THEY DON'T GO TO TERMINALS!!!😂 THEY GO TO RACE TRACKS, FAIR GROUNDS, AND OTHER PLACES LIKE THAT 👍🤠❤️. THEY PULL IN AND PARK, THEN SET UP CAMP, GET READY TO SHOW OFF ALL OF THE TOYS 🧸🐻🧸🤠. IT'S A HOBBY NOT A MONEY 🤑 MAKER.💸💵💰💰. THE PERSON OR PERSONS THAT OWNS THIS IS VERY VERY RICH 💰💵💸🤑

    So he needs 3 lanes to make a 90 degree turn? How you drive it in town? Or he has one dedicated route? Cuz if it's just a show truck than that's a ton of money sitting there on a spot just for sh*ts and giggles. To each their own I guess ....
