Playing solo against squads is fun - when everything goes your way. Here’s some additional stuff (or reviewed stuff) for the average joe: 1. Carry Ordinance. These are the only items that’ll lend an extra helping hand in damage dealt. They can also be used to obstruct paths from enemies to you. 2. Avoid Focus Fire. You’re 2 arms will never outdo 4 arms. Always try to engage a fight with only 1 person having a good LoS on you. 3. Learn to disengage. If you end up having more than 1 pair of eyes on you, it’s better to disengage when you start taking damage. Your fights need to be quick, if you’re taking too long it may be a good time to reposition. 4. Utilize cover. Whether pushing or retreating, these are your only ways of avoiding damage and containing firefights. Also include frequent vertical traversal in your playstyle. 5. Learn your weapon. Weapons that are high damage per shot lend themselves to pop-and-shot tactics. Weapons that are high fire rate should lend themselves to hipfire dancing. Learn which weapon is optimal when you’re HP is full, and when it’s low. Also learn your preferred primary weapons, and backup/secondary weapons. 6. LISTEN. Knowledge is power, and being able to actively track adjacent enemies is what gives you the edge. Listening also helps you determine who is approaching: Bangalore, Caustic, Octane, and Pathfinder don’t have normal footsteps.
my strategy is: 1.knock an enemy 2.hide and wait for his team to revive him 3.knock the healer 4.then redo it a second time or just kill the last one in a 1vs1
恚Λᴍʙɪᴛɪᴏɴッ always thirst kills when you can. Eliminates another set of eyes tracking you. I recently started to take that seriously and it helps big time.
Brett Truax thank you. It’s like I can never get high kill games. I’m not a bad player at least I don’t think. Is it possible you could help me out like we party up and you give me tips and stuff
恚Λᴍʙɪᴛɪᴏɴッ this method is really good, but if u want to get a 10+ kill game u need to stop doing this I guess. Be aggressive and stop wasting any time, sometimes people don’t revive their teammates until the enemy’s dead.
It is sad how frequently I have to solo in this “team-based” game. They need to start pairing people based on kdr, overall time played, and kills-or give us solo mode back.... I actually really liked duos too.
The main part: you hit your shots. That's to me the most impressive part of this video. As long as you don't push like an idiot, hitting your shots will ensure you win most of your fights, even 1v3.
I have to say I'm the same when it comes to soloing team fights, like when my friends are with me we usually die almost instantly but when I'm with randoms or going solo I can most of the time pull off a win
I started solo no fill because I was tired of my random teamates... only got top 3s and better so far.... I guess it’s really better to be alone than with the wrong ppl.
Got allot out of this video will be watching it multiple times to try and put it in my head. Hope you do more similar videos. Thanks for posting and for the positivity. cheers
Good video, good tips. Just wanna add a few cents: - Afaik you cannot shoot through teammates. So if your enemies are behind each other, only the front player can do damage to you. Niche, but can give you an advantage in some scenarios. You can even try to line your enemies up in a way that you basicly get one duel after the other like this - google 'peekers advantage'. its almost in any game and on as a second bonus you chose more when you're gonna take a firefight. I sometimes fire and as soon as people shoot at me I go back around the corner. most enemies start reloading and giving chase, but I pop out of the same corner just 0.5 seconds later and start shooting again, while they are reloading - Use natural cover. this goes for basicly all shooter games, always. If you traverse an open field which you dont absolutely have to, you're doing something wrong. Always be close to cover - 'Abuse cover': If you have a squad chasing you, and you cannot bail anymore, you can round a corner and instantly nade that corner. The guy giving chase might run into your nade, allowing you to burst him down - Highground. Should say enough already. Massive advantage - know your way out; have a plan to retreat
It's like I said in your "what does gaming merchant mean to you" video, better understanding. Thank you for the video!! Helped my thought process a lot in solo situations.
When ur teammates die and leave immediately it can be very discouraging 1v3 a whole squad with gear thanks for the vid m8 g7 definitely helps keep the range and damage up
Loved it! Keep videos like this one coming! Just one minor suggestion, I found the brightness dimming while you were speaking to be a little bit too much. It was a bit annoying, but otherwise great content!
thanks for the feedback, much appreciated! I wanted to make it clear that it was future me speaking not me in the gameplay haha, i'll try to do it in a less subtle way for future videos :)
Found a new glitch where you can throw an arc star strait up and grapple it, it breaks a bit by flying you around at high speeds but it's really hard to time so I don't have a video of it
It’s best to try to maneuver around obstacles for cover for peak shots and as soon as they see you try to immediately find a different angle to hit them from I prefer using Bangalore since she has smoked you can escape and you run faster just in case you get shot and the ult for teams
from my 400 hours in apex (which obv isnt alot) make sure to pace all your fights very fast while leaving no room for them to pocess what is happening. also having very good aim and movement will help alot in hitting you shots and making sure their shots dont hit, the element of surprise will always benefit you because a 1v2 with one of the teammates down is alot easier than a 1v3, also picking outlying teammates is a good idea so :P
Hell yeah. Helps me alot when u explain bad plays vs good ones Maybe do a highlights video with smart/bad plays and breaking them down on the fly. Either user submitted or your own conent would be good. The analysis is like a playbook in football. Merchant Blue 42!
Love this video. I’m a good player. I’ll drive 4K games and 15+ games all the time but I’m trying to get to the point where I can solo squad games all the time. I like the break down of this stuff
Idk what the matter of 30 hours player... I did better than 2000 hours players in my first 20 hours, how to kill a squad alone? The answer you can't unless you are against noobs or having luck by your side. Anyway you can simply use your brain, pick the advantage always, and target body to head accurately (in other words shoot to down so you don't give your enemy time to retreat) They should keep apex solo always

YES! Listen to this guy 👌
Youngster Joey you spent too long writing this comment
They say knowledge is power. but what you do with it, that’s waht counts
Snaxel.Z YT Just from that comment alone it sounds to me that you ain’t doing much with said “knowledge”, homie. Kick rocks, kid
Step 1: get 2 golden guns
Step 2: get golden armor and golden knockdown shield
i think this is the best way to learn. instead of just watching, to hear your commentary is much more insightful/valuable. more please. 👍

And then get 4th party

TheDragan505 so you want more aggressive sbmm?
That would pit squads with dudes with 100 season 3 wins vs a squad with people who just downloaded the game. Not exactly fair.
Damn, I didn't get to play solos😤
Shut up and carry me.
I think solos would ruin the game.. Terrible idea
The main part: you hit your shots. That's to me the most impressive part of this video. As long as you don't push like an idiot, hitting your shots will ensure you win most of your fights, even 1v3.
Thats not actually true you have to think how to challenge them in 1v1 cause its super hard to take all 3 on
Has anyone noticed a lot of new players camping corners and gunning you down almost instantly?
They added skill based matchmaking at the start of the season. That’s why you’re getting new players unlike other seasons.

Love how he says “i hope you are all well” in the beginning of every video.
You and Spink taught everyone how to play and now the game is hard lol
I like the post-analysis. This is helpful to a few of us I'm sure. Thanks again!
This video was really helpful. I look forward to seeing more “watch and learn” content. Thank you, and definitely keep it up!
