    Alec, this is amazing. I really liked this walk-through. But I am also amazed how you can keep the overview of all the windows, and scenes. Multitasking at its best. I look forward to your master class, because it is time for me to dig back in to Ecamm Live. I neglected it for too long, apparently.

    Great video Alec! Thank you for putting this together. If our feed is spotlighted, is there a possibility for a view of the panelist and the gallery view of participants? Some of my trainers like to see the faces of the people they're speaking to while there teaching and engaging. Is that possible? I was thinking that I could open zoom on the other monitor and do a screen share of the gallery view, but the spotlight overrides that ability to see the gallery. What do you recommend?

    • @TakeOneTech
      @TakeOneTech  3 месяца назад

      I know a general gallery view feed has been a commonly requested feature and is being looked into/worked on.

    Awesome, great video again Alec! A new update is not complete until you provide a step by step... Thank you.
    Quick Q, regarding users that have a RCP2, I see the utility of setting the audio to manual audio, by doing this do we still have the option of creating a ISO audio recording in Zoom? Looking forward to your next updates

      Yes, you will still be able to capture the isolated audio of Zoom participants added into your production to placeholders Guest 1, 2, 3 etc... even if using Manual Audio mode. 😊

    I’m still trying to figure out how Zoom will work in my production flow with Ecamm. I was always concerned that interviewees would have trouble connecting to Ecamm. But that’s never been a problem. Other than because it’s “Zoom” it doesn’t seem to make a lot of sense for me..but I’m going to keep trying to figure out the benefits😊

    • @TakeOneTech
      @TakeOneTech  3 месяца назад

      For me, there are a number of benefits over interview mode...
      1.) It is a more familiar environment for guests..... Zoom is ubiquitous and most people have been on a Zoom call, where as interview mode links are likely unfamiliar.
      2.) I believe the experience is better for guests, because with interview mode guests often report low resolution, lagging video/audio etc.... Ecamm always say 'we prioritise the incoming feed for the production, which I totally understand, but honestly, that is not a help to guests who are more likely to be distracted by such issues than the host.
      3.) It is useful when you are wanting to co host an event or workshop in Zoom, where you want cohosts to both be in the meeting, but also 'on stage' within the production.
      4.) It makes is easy to bring participants up on stage during a meeting... for example in a workshop you may want to include people asking questions into the production for the benefit of a well produced recording of the event/workshop.
      Of course, you would then need to be paying for a Zoom subscription, so that could be a negative, just that I do that already.
      Just my perspective.... hope that helps!

    Great video again Alec - many thanks!
    Is there any chance to capture the gallery view as a camera source?

    • @TakeOneTech
      @TakeOneTech  4 месяца назад

      Thanks! Glad you liked the video.
      At the moment there is no built in functionality to capture the gallery apart from using a screen share overlay to capture the window with the gallery window… then also ‘hide self view’ so that you avoid that infinity effect of Ecamm partly sharing itself.
      I understand that they are looking at potentially providing a gallery view source though… many have requested it!

    Very helpful video. But how does one spotlight a scene? What happens if you don't spotlight anything? Does it appear to be a typcial zoom meeting to the participants?

    • @TakeOneTech
      @TakeOneTech  4 месяца назад

      When you open the Zoom Participants Panel, you have some options next to each participants name, and one of them is 'Spotlight' this will make that person full screen for everyone, so you would spotlight your self in this way.
      If you do not do this, then what people see will depend on their settings...
      If they are using gallery view, then you will simply appear as anyone else within the meeting within the gallery but of course with your Ecamm feed instead of a simple camera.
      If the participant is using active speaker mode and you are speaking then you would be full screen for them.
      Spotlight simply forces that full screen for participants.
      Apologies for not demonstrating this in the video... it would have been helpful!

    Without the $233 ZOOM subscription the quality of the output is unacceptable IMHO.

    • @TakeOneTech
      @TakeOneTech  3 месяца назад

      Indeed... This is really more intended for those wanting to use Zoom within a production environment and where they are already paying for a Zoom subscription.
      Unfortunately using either the regular virtual camera or the Ecamm for Zoom integration on a free Zoom plan is likely to have resolution issues.... and unfortunate limitation of the Zoom free plan.

    is there a chance to change the zoom guests individual audio level and mute/unmute them within Ecamm, like in the interview mode?

    • @TakeOneTech
      @TakeOneTech  4 месяца назад

      At the moment you get separate audio for each isolated guest video int he recordings, but all ‘Zoom Guests’ come in as a single feed controlled by the Zoom Guest audio.
      In fact this also includes all zoom participants, not just those who’s cameras have been added.
      The necessity for individual control over audio for individual Zoom guests within the production was also something that I raised during alpha testing and it is coming in a later update apparently.

    Q: The 'max (8) number of guests limitation depending on Computer spec' situation... I have a related question... If you have for example - 30 Attendees in the Zoom meeting - and only plan to add 3 guests from the 30 to your Zoom production... Is this possible?

    • @TakeOneTech
      @TakeOneTech  4 месяца назад

      Yes, you meeting can have as many participants as your Zoom plan will allow... it is just that you can bring in up to eight of those participants into your production as camera feeds within Ecamm itself.

      Ecamm for Zoom is about as Professional a feature as you can get… it’s several levels up on the virtual camera which is already pro!
      Of course understand that cost is always a consideration, but the pro plan is a little over $1 a day. If you are using it in your business then this should be put into perspective. I always feel Ecamm adds more than a dollar of value to my business when used in Zoom calls and events.
      Just mention in case it helps put he cost into context.

    Q: I just joined the LIVE and you've already answered my question... The ECAMM Live Beta with Zoom Integration does not work on Intel Macs or is there a workaround? At the moment, when you try to link your Zoom Account - It errors with either an OAuth2 'Blank' page in Chrome or an Invalid Address error in Safari... I am wondering if this was captured at the Alpha or Private Beta stages

    • @TakeOneTech
      @TakeOneTech  4 месяца назад +1

      You may have resolved this already, but if you download the latest beta (released yesterday) there was a fix for the issue of linking linking to a Zoom account on older macs.
