Ive got a '91 362. Lots of sanding and buffing and looks pretty good now. Still not where i want it yet. Wish my seats would have been that good. 100% agree, why people let any boat much less a classic Ranger sit out and ruin. Plus some genius tried to re clear it and totally effed it up
I miss the bench seats in both cars AND boats! (The back bench seat in my old 70's something Plymouth Duster was like a queen bed back in the day! Room, BABY!) (Thats what she said, er-RUF! Lol...)
The valves for your livewells are under the batteries most of them will fill with water sitting and then let it out under power there are several videos about it and several 300 series Facebook pages congrats on a beautiful old Ranger I've got an 87 Ranger 360v
Beautiful Ranger. I have a 1989 396v and my live wells do the same thing. Not sure where the water comes from. Again, congrats on your new Ranger. Great find. Enjoy!!
You can take the old flasher fish finder out and put in a stereo that will fit in that hole. I was able to get a 2004 pro craft 205 with a 200 merc. and I love it. Good luck with your Ranger.
My bass boat is a 1991 Nitro TF160 sold new in 1992. The motor and trailer were new in 1992. Up to 2019 I put one regulator rectifier on the 60hp Evinrude that was it. Since 2019 I have updated the motor to a 2012 75hp Evinrude. I have also put new tires and lights shackles bushings and bearings on the trailer. I also had to cut out some rust and piece in new metal. I need new seats and carpet. Replaced the steering last year. I also replaced the trolling motor electronics and batteries a few times. Last year I completely rebuilt the 2012 Evinrude. It runs like new. Fishes like the dsy I bought it. Sure it needs cosmetic work and I plan on that. Much better than trying to buy a massively overpriced new one. By the way I actually bought mine used in 1996 for $5000.
Nice old ranger there! The fast strikes are great motors but gas guzzlers. Expect 1 maybe 2mpg if your lucky. On a hot summer day if you fish awhile you will probably have to re prime the carbs as gas boils off at a lower temp these days. It will want to sometimes vapor lock and powerload but nothing but choking it cant fix when you crank it up. Also the motor does not have a rev limiter. So watch your tach as to not over rev. If your proped correctly this wont be a problem. Great purchase and happy boating!!!
I tournament fished and guided back in the 90’s Those were solid boats. You have a fine boat at a great price. I was. Mercury man but not a thing wrong with that old Johnson Fast Strike. Well played sir.
Im still fishing out of a 17 ft 1990 fox craft with a 90 hp mercury bass bait they were made in Jasper Alabama and live in Alabama shes still in good shape use it everyweekend
Man I’ve got almost the exact same boat I’m the second owner almost same condition maybe a little better had the same faded top on mine sand it down with 400 grit tape it off spray some clear coat on it will be brand new I tried that buffing it out and polishing it will look good for about a month then back to a dull finish cleared mine 3 years ago shines like brand new
I never cared for duel console boats , just a waste of space .. if I got your boat as a deal I would remove the port console, maybe sift your starboard console to the center to balance the boat out. Drop a new or newer 225-250.. also they make carpet dye so if you wanted to change colors you can. I’m not sure about the process , but I seen people on RUclips do it
Great boat and great find. Classic Ranger that made the brand everyone wanted to own.
Keep an eye on that cable steering- if it goes bad I would replace it with hydraulic. Nice boat!!
Superman, you have two great classics, great outboard engine.
Yes it’s gonna run it’s a ranger 360 series. Had 2 and a 374. Loved them

I have the 363v , I pretty much got mine done. Have it looking almost new. Pretty much gone through everything. They are very well built boats.

That is a beautiful ranger congrats!
Nice rig! When I was younger I spent many summer afternoons skiing on Lake Ray Hubbard. Thanks for another good video.

My 1973 ranger still gets across the water just fine, no need for anything fancy

That’s a good find . Old rangers are notorious for cracked deck lids . Loved the old 300 series but hate rangers because of fiberglass deck lids .

3M perfect it, heavy, medium and light gel coat restorer then finish with 3M wax.
Great find for the price
check your live well shut off valves they may be stuck open!
Notable Old Farts with bass boats;
Jimmy Houston

Bass Mumbler 🤪
I’d consider putting a trailer hitch on your truck instead of using your bumper hitch.
A Ranger towing a Ranger.

I'd say ya done good.
I have a 1991 361 that looks like a new boat its been kept inside sense it was new.

I have a 362v as well, does anyone know where I can get a deck extension?
Life jacket and kill switch
Nice👍🏻
Nice
It's a ranger boat they are best
May I ask roughly how much you gave for it so I can start my investigation for a similar one. Thanks so much.
More than $3800 and less than $4100 😅
@@TheGoatMumbler sounds fair to me
