Thank you, George and Tatiana for another amazing class on paint materials! George, when asked about sinking in you talk about ground, bodied oil and the use of solvents. Virgil Elliot always says, to my understanding, that the umbers, ochers and siennas synthetic or natural cause sinking in no matter what. What is your opinion about that? Also do you think bodied oil would prevent the sinking in when using this pigments? I love raw umber but the sinking in makes me crazy. Thank you both for your never-ending and captivating devotion to painting materials.
@@RublevColoursI mex black oil with my dark colour like black or brunt umber. last year I used a very light gray colour. The black pigment was mixed with black oil midium now it is starting to change the colour

It is good for long brushstrokes, creating lines and texture. Since it is similar to paint in that it has solid particles like pigments, it is "lean."

Who's the artist who painted oil on your channel? Thanks

If I use black oil with lead white or other light pigment , it changes the colour of pigment . how to solve this problem
Why do you feel the need to use black oil with lead white?

it won't be easy to earn those points because unless you are painting murals, a tube of paint last for at least a couple years.
Not for most professional painters.
