Drives really nice with sufficient power.Not as powerful as Merc E class 400 d but better than Merc 350 d.All round a very nice car in dark blue with cream interior,no need to mess about lookin for more power,especially in UK with speed cameras and potholes everywhere.Previously had m240 ,way too sporty,rattled my teeth.

Hello i have g30 520d at 55k miles i drive across europe the car doesnt struggle much till 225 then obv it slows down abit especially around 230 - 235 i want to stage 1 it but im not sure how reliable it is since i dont want to break down in a different country can this car handle 230hp? Its been a very reliable car past 5yrs not a single problem i just want a tiny bit more power is it worth risking the cars reliability?
Remap is the best. Had my f30 320d in 2012 brand new and did a remap in 2018. Still using it till this day without any issue. Did a downpipe a month ago and the car feels and sounds amazing!
I've had a F31 320d LCI 163bhp and had it tuned stage 1 to 216bhp..that was very nice,worth it and without any trouble. Now i'm driving a G20 320d with 190 bhp and think its not that big of a difference with the tuning to aprox 220 bhp and the extra torgue.
Does this 530d have xdrive? Because I am thinking to get a 530d because the 530d xdrive is a bit expensive, but I am worried about the wheel spin after having a bit more power on stage 1.
Was thinking the same before buying a used one. I bought with xdrive only because of the other options, but Im so glad i did! 100% you need xdrive especially if remapping. The tourque on this motor is nuts. Even if its not remapped, the 4 wheel drive system makes a huge difference to handling.

Ofncourse its different with e400d 😂😂😂😂, e400d has twin turbos with 330/340hp, e400d equal is 540d

Да! Едет неплохо! А еще есть гибридная турбинка на этот мотор. 400-450 делается и держит без проблем! И едет 3,7 секунды!

Ive noticed the biggest issue with this car is the 90 - 100. You lose almost a full second just there alone. Must be to do with the gearing.

Not bad at all as long as ur tires are warm
ive got 285 hankooks on the rears and almost zero wheel spin in a straight line in the dry, its 309bhp remapped dpf intercooler etc

If you haven't already, get the Xdrive version, it's brutal off the lights when remapped.
