I also really like the 6 cost development that reduces the cost of technology by 2 and scores points for every other development or 6 cost development. I just love the development strategy in general.
Tom I just watched your Race For the Galaxy review from almost 10 years ago, and it's insane how much your youtube presentation skills and production value have increased!
I can't believe Galactic Federation didn't even make the top 10! Of course you see it a bit less if you're playing with the whole of arc 1 than you do in just the base game, but it's a fantastic card with a really useful development discount and it scores well in basically every tableau. There are few cards which are as consistently useful regardless of strategy.
Gem Smugglers is a pretty bizarre choice for this as it's not very strong, and it is wild that Galactic Federation and Alien Toy Shop both aren't mentioned, and they're certainly two of the best cards in the game.
@@IdlestHands it does feel somewhat ambiguous between the ones he thinks are best and the one he enjoys the most. His explanations are all about how the cards are good, and at some points he does explain them as the best cards, but at other points he does say these are his favorites. I was under the impression they were the ones he personally thought were the best and therefore were his favorites
I was kind of shocked to see "Tourist World" on this list. This isn't a card I put into play often. It's too expensive and situational for me. I really need a way to convert resources into points in the mid- to late game for me to do so. Even so, I feel there are better options for that. "Replicant Robots" is one of my favorites. I'm also a fan of the cards that decrease the cost of developments. I forget the name.
@@DarthEd77 yea having to pay first can suck if you wanna keep everything in your hand. But on the other hand, it allows you to cycle unwanted cards away
From arc 1 I'd include Interstellar Cassus Belli, Imperium Planet Buster, Pan-Galactic Mediator, Terraforming Engineers, and Doomed World. Also it's not one card, but "every single 2 military uplift windfall world." Plus if Tom had kept Alien Artifacts we could have seen Wormhole Prospectors and the never-useful but always-intriguing Tranship Point! :)
tourist world is in my top 10 new galactic order I play if I start with new sparta or have 3+ military already. I used to play pan galactic research more often but I may try to get it out more often even if it doesn't mesh with my overall strategy in the particular game. my absolute favorite cards are diversified economy, gem world, consumer markets, galactic survey seti, expedition force, and spice world the 4th expansion is garbage.. the 5th is actually pretty good.

Cannot believe Galactic Federation is not on this list
GalFed is certainly the most powerful card in base set, and arguably the best in any set.
I like the one development, which lets you trade 3 different kinds of goods for 3VP, and draws a card for each different produced good in the V phase.
Diversified Economy is awesome 👍
When you get that set up you just roll
Love this series
Waiting for Top Ten Dominion Cards!
I love it as well, very fun idea!
Excellent series Tom.
This game is lit, the Replicant Worlds and Alien Uplift camp are amazing in my book. thanks for another great video Tom :)
Just got into RFTG! Love it!
I was hoping Uplift Code would show up. I scramble to make that card work whenever it shows up. Love it.
Great video, Tom! I still play the app a few times a week. I am still horrible, but I don't get bored!

Oh totally! Gal fed is a classic!!
I like "Alien Oort Cloud Refinery" especially with a sell ability on another card in the tableaux.

Did you miss the opening line where he said "We're taking a look at my FAVOURITE cards.."?

Which expansion is the Pan-Galactic Research card from? I only have expansion 1 and I feel I need that card. lol

Investment Credits? Interstellar Bank?
@@revimfadli4666 Yes, thank you. Both of those.
@@DarthEd77 you're welcome!
Public Works is another one
@@revimfadli4666 I don't like that one as much since it gives you the card after you build the development.

At first I expected them to be all from the base game.
I still want top-10 sheep
