Went from a 500 to 511 watching you and John explain how to tackle these passages, how to chart, and what to study. Take my test this month, never felt more prepared. You guys are a godsend.
WOW! That's so amazing!!! Thank you for commenting and letting us know, you'll never realize how much motivation it gives us to keep going when we read comments like these. Good luck this month, you've got this!!!
Thank you for all of the great videos! I really appreciate the time and effort that you put into it. I feel so much more confident in my test taking with your advice.
This isn’t a basic science question, it’s entirely passage/figure interpretation, so make sure you have your relationships down and you should get through that one! Less pineal influence (Px) = X, so therefore MORE pineal influence (Pgex) should give you the opposite effect!
im confused, because jackwestin says Once again, to answer this question we’ll need the results shown in Table 1. A quick skim of the answer choices lets us know to focus our analysis on the pituitary and testes weights. In this new experiment, the administration of pineal gland extract (Pgex) is like having the pineal gland intact (the sham/control) and saline (Psal) is like not having the pineal gland (pinealectomy/Px). However, you explained it as the opposite, sham is the physiological saline and the pgex is when it is not intact (pinealectomy)
Hey! quick Psych question: would you guys recommend the mile down for the psych section? (do you think it's comprehensive enough?) I know apparently there is another deck based on uworld, that has a ton in it as well. I'm scared because the miles down is tempting since it only has 800+ psych cards in it and the other deck has about 1200 psych cards. I'm going through analysis paralysis right now and can't decide, please help! Thank you thank you in advance :-(
oh also my other fear is if I go with the uworld one idk how trusted that is. I've already done all the uworld questions for psych, thankfully but def need to drill things like specifics from theories like Erickson.
Hey Tina, @IFD has a great video on using Anki and they cover that deck specifically I think. HIGHLY recommend watching it prior to starting the deck. The MilesDown Deck has nearly 3,000 cards and I personally wish I would have watched their video prior to starting it. I made the mistake of starting the cards without a first pass of the subjects with Khan Academy or my Kaplan books, I ended up wasting so much time trying to learn cards over and over again. Don't make the same mistake I did!
@@jarodormsby5423 Thanks! I had watched it before, it was really helpful and I definitely agree with you I'm glad I've had a pass of the psych material so at least the foundation is there. Now it's making sure it stays and is reinforced (like he was saying in the video that the cards aren't there to be the initial teaching of the material). I was more kinda wondering what their take was on other decks because I know in the video he was saying you know there are other decks like the ortho deck, etc. He did mention that the miles down was enough to get 515+ so I guess that's my answer lol
I have not used any of them (Maggie here), but have had students use Miledown with great success, including in the PS section. I think quality > quantity, especially since Miledown does have a significant number of PS cards. Just make sure you are coming up with your own examples for phenomena and picking up on key words the test uses to point you toward one psych theory or the other!

Thank you for watching! We’re so glad they’re helping!
I am the first to appreciate this brilliant mind. Keep your gems of MCAT passage analysis coming, please.
Please an analysis of AAMC MCAT Physics Question Pack passages 4 and 5.
whew 43 was a whirlwind but you explained it so well
Great video. I love the way you explain your thought process; I'm learning so much from you
Thank you for the kind words!
Could u elaborate more on question 43, especially how to interpret question and what keywords to know?

or is it because it says pineal gland extract, meaning it WILL be removed, so it is NOT the control and it therefore DOES change?
yeah i think i misspoke at one point. pgex is comparable to sham, psal is comparable to pinealectomy
