Thanks for your comment. Setting the Playstation drive speed to 'standard' stops the fast talking, however the graphical problems still remain (scenery popping in).
I am sure the issue lies with the PS2's backward compatibility so if you are playing the game on the PS2, there is nothing you can do about it. Playing on an original Playstation 1 is the best way but a commentator below stated there were no issues when they played the game on a PS3.
@@RJAY63 Interesting, I'm really surprised that it's just a PS2 compatibility issue since hardly anyone mentions this issue online. That really sucks, I don't have a PS1 or PS3 and need to use the PS2 to connect to my CRT TV...
@@RJAY63 PAL version too. To be honest, I'm using a converted VCD file that I'm running on the PS2 through USB, but it renders normally on a pc emulator, but abnormally on the PS2. Strange. It might be some PAL specific problem.
Change the drive playstation to standard on ps2 menu. This glitche it's becouse the drive for playstation 1 marked FAST mode.

I wonder why?
What PS2 model do you use? The same thing happens in the 75001
I have tried it on my 'fat' PS2's (SCPH-3xx models with iLink connections) and my slim PS2 (SCPH-75003). All have the same problem.
Did you ever find out what was causing the floor and buildings to pop in? I'm having the same problem

@@RJAY63 Or it could be a quirk of the emulator being used to play the game as a VCD file. But that doesn't explain why you have that problem
Interesting. XD
Does it happen on ps3
Unfortunately I do not own a PS3 so cannot test. Would be interesting to find out though.
@@RJAY63 none of this stuff happens on my ps3
