i have been playing Asuka for 15 years now. this move is not bad at all against intermediate or lower skilled players, but against good players it will be low parryed 100% every single time which make the move almost useless in high levels unfortunately. there is one great use for it though.. if your opponent against the wall laying on the ground you can use it to finish the round since it's a safe low that can't be low parryed at that situation and it will trake side rollers and hit them on the ground.
Thank you for your comment. I use it realiably against a very good Bushin player, and get low-parried about 20% of the time only when I abuse it. If not, the move is pretty hard to see. But as I said in the video already, very experienced player (top 1%) will see it too often indeed !

this is my fav move for heat stopping opponents, (or heatstopping in general if you feel like they're close to you and they're gonna try create some space from you) if you preassure them to a wall on opponent's low health, I jab check or feint attack with f+2 or snake edge[3,4] and I try to be predictable so that they try to initiate heat burst, if you're close enough b+2+4, 4 stops the heat and flips the opponent, ngl great round ender it should also work for opponents that don't get stopped by lows on heat bursts , in which case you can just b+2+4 for some easy damage and parry the burst, probably... I need more testings
I started using as a starting move against people who often start with power crush. Also is nice that you can end it with a mid (that turns backwards!) or a low.
Volbach, thanks for enlightenment. Didn't know it is +5 on hit, that is pretty implementable indeed. I was using it sometimes to oki opponent after wall-combo because it's pretty fast homing low what makes it almost guaranteed in real game, but now I see it's usable in neutral as well.
It's a nice gimmick, personally I use it a lot if they don't know matchup. But once people adapt to it, it's bad. Low mid mixup can be fuzzied or reacted or low parry 2nd hit, I think it has a distinct sound("Yah") cue which can give it away.
@@VolbachTekken Yeah, I also mentioned that there is sound cue which indicates she is doing that string instead of a regular jab. So it can be low parried consistently if people are familiar with it.
It's a great move on lower ranks. I'm on red ranks with asuka and this is one of the go to moves in many situations. I've been promoted to mighty ruler couple of times but on purple people seems to be much more aware of that. I guess blue onwards it might become useless. Not sure. Maybe one day I get there then I can tell.
Jab was only there for me to know when to step, to show everyone how it works. Asuka's jab is -2 on block, so it's not even a good option before b1+4 haha
Happy I found your channel, great explanations! Can you please explain why Asuka's can cans are supposedly good? It seems to take long and I always get punished after I use it.
decent range, counter hit launcher, low high(meaning it hits easily), safe, needs hard read duck to punish, fast and pushback enough to make it safe. Just dont push button after doing it if it doesnt launch
@@kamasutraspirit9561 It's correct, but pushback has been nerfed from T7. Jun has decent pushback on hers, compared to Asuka... But it's mostly a very good move because it's an agressive game and d3+4 is a 14frames CH launch that deals heavy damage for a low risk
I agree it’s a pretty good move however the animation is very telegraphed some players react to it so you have to be more careful when to use it and that is the flaw of this move sadly
You can assign 1+4 combination on sticks. I do it because all other buttons like 1+2 3+4 etc are assigned to r1,r2,l1,r2. Use your entire gamepad that’s very comfortable
Wow, I thought it was actually worth checking out. This is not a secret. If anything, you should tell them that the power up tackle and the fallen rain throw is easier to do now
Hidden move? Use it all the time - think it's quite great. But i am only low blue ranks and well you notice that some players know it very well and block low-parry it. well then you just have to adapt and revert to other pokes
Using this move as a poke will get you destroyed against anyone that knows the matchup. You mentioned that b+1+4 is a natural combo, but it absolutely is not! You can get hit and still block or even parry the second hit. 1,3 on the other hand, is not only a better parry, but is also an actual natural combo, so the low is guaranteed if the high lands. Not saying b+1+4 doesn’t have uses, but it does have big issues.
@@VolbachTekken you’re right, it does jail!! Wow what a buff. Just realized they changed that. I stand corrected. These moves are definitely reactable if the first hit is blocked, but I agree, the new properties for this move are fantastic. They made her very dangerous in this game.
@@TheRealRayMillsToo b1+4 has been a natural combo for a very very long time. In fact it's a 12! punish (not a good one at that but still is) but yea it's not good to throw it a lot on block. 1,3 is even easier to react to on block than b1+4 imo. Coming from an Asuka player that doesn't have the sharpest reactions, yet still manages to block the second hit of 1,3 every single time
i have been playing Asuka for 15 years now.

As some ppl said that first hit does give it away, but if you use it like once or twice a game you’re probably golden. Thx for sharing!
Exactly, and most people (until blue ranks) are not going to see it at all

i saw this move in another video and immediatily thought how do i do that?! and this video appears god send
3:34 Situational. Jab then b1+4 is good. Although, after the jab then side step, the jab on 1+4 whiffs giving an opponent an opening for a hop kick.
