Volbach Tekken

Asuka main in Tekken 8.
So Asuka was buffed...or was she ?
The WR 1+2 change is undoubtedly a buff, but this is not as important as many people think, since Asuka still lacks options without heat. Plus, you still have options to heavily punish Asuka's options in heat. Neutral stay the same : horrible.

Asuka Kazama - Max Damage Combos for Tekken 8 (no heat, no rage)
Просмотров 16 тыс.9 месяцев назад
Here are some of the max damage combos I could gather or find by myself. This is without heat, without rage, without wall, even though I show max damage combos that can lead to a wall combo as well. I'm aware some combos can be better with insane execution, but I believe there are not doable in a real match. Feel free to comment if you found better ! Here is the google sheet I'm currently makin...
Look This great ! A big diferente on resulta the game
10+ minutes on this mid ass move lol
All of this what ppl call a mix up or 50/50 they can just use any airborne move that’s will make them jump out the low and only get like 14dmg and it’s a recoverable heal so it’s not a 50/50 at all it’s just a thing that can be done once a match
I love how bad she is …
Hidden move? Use it all the time - think it's quite great. But i am only low blue ranks and well you notice that some players know it very well and block low-parry it. well then you just have to adapt and revert to other pokes
love the vid and the vibes thanks [=
Good Work Bro
You can sit further away from the mic so it doesn't pick up your disgusting lip smacking
more than anything he can react to the first and lowparry the second but good luck reacting to that
This isn't a secret 😅 it been here
AAAAA THANK U FOR THIS !! IMMA HIT THE PRACTICE MODE
thank you for the tips bro !! I rarely use this move-
Took kinda long to actually show the move smh
WR1+2 it's not that effective on high rank and high level gameplay. They could react on D1+2. Also, WR1+2 is slow and duckable. Asuka is still B tier. You can't spam that move on high ranks play. You will be punished from doing so
In high level gameplay you should be doing instant wr1+2 and your opponent isn't gonna be able to that from her ff1+2 mid.. especially in heat which will launch of the duck
I thought this was supposed to be a highly defensive character
Your +11,just sub the mid for a faster, impossible to option select move.having a fast, homing, high chip dmg launching high that forces a mix that you can do multiple times in heat.......is exactly as good as everyone is saying it is.
Except none of those are really deadly. You can do it, sure, but you'll just blow your heat for this. Asuka gets 2 or 3 try, and then she becomes the low tiers character she is again. The buff to wr1+2 on heat is VERY strong indeed, but the overall buff of Asuka is kinda lame. That's my point.
@@VolbachTekken I don't understand why your choosing to fixate on not getting another launch attempt after your brand new ability to more freely attempt launches in heat.it went from a knockdown with ambiguous mix on block to a launch with inescapable mix on block. I mean like that's about as huge a buff a move could get.As far as asukas place in tier lists, having such a effective move to use every round absolutely should factor into that.its been shown over and over again that you only really need one great move/heat move to tie in a game plan with some thought put into its application.beyond what the move does on paper, consider what it adds to her overall game plan. Asukas historically has had a hard time making people duck for her amazing mids.know what would make someone want to duck?this cracked out high.its homing and i17f,so the only way your getting around it is trying to stuff it(asuka has amazing whiff punishment and parries)or ducking(amazing mids). This move is literally built to make people want to do the things you would want them to do.
I think you missed a key move / option Asuka has after a buffed wr1+2 at +11. Asuka's 1+2, a safe mid launcher that has only 16f startup. In a +11 scenario, Asuka's 1+2 beats not only your sidestep crouch fuzzy, but also beats armor. I also believe Asuka's will use 1+2 after wr1+2 often to beat Armor moves anyway. I am not discounting your fuzzy as a good option, just pointing out there is a key options Asuka's can use that just blow it up with little to no risk. Also yes, I know 1+2 and d1+2 hit at different frames and can be fuzzied with just a delayed crouch but it is an option that should be considered as part of the mixup that you should be mentioning.
I actually agree. I also thought about f4 (too fast to be stepped right after wr1+2), but I wanted to cover what I think are the most popular options, but there are many of them... I could do another video showcasing the limits of the fuzzy guard here. I pin your comment.
There are characters who Can Backlash D1+2 After the +11 Wr on block, like dragunov and Zafina
@@cesarbrad286 Thanks !
The launching mid option is still there after the high, or even something like can can or f2.
1+2 seems steppable, but I didn't test it extensively. F2 would work 100%, but is launch punishable. I covered the most probable options, as I mentionned in the video. Even tho you can always work out a way to apply a mixup, it becomes more dangerous, enough to make the whole thing not so strong. I could be wrong, but we'll see.
Your are totally right. This what happens when trying to change the perfection.
Congratulations, you have just discovered America, capitan 🤣
Great….now people are gonna be looking out for this move
Ahh I use this in Tekken 7 I never threw it out as much 🤔
Lesson of the day: never take the word of a top-player grifter that can't even keep his cool when people don't skip their character's intros. TMMS is a degenerate, lol. Great video!
I agree it’s a pretty good move however the animation is very telegraphed some players react to it so you have to be more careful when to use it and that is the flaw of this move sadly
this is not a secret move... its in the move list.......and was in T7
It's just a way to say it's a pretty unknown move.
It's a nice gimmick, personally I use it a lot if they don't know matchup. But once people adapt to it, it's bad. Low mid mixup can be fuzzied or reacted or low parry 2nd hit, I think it has a distinct sound("Yah") cue which can give it away.
Of course it's not meant to be spammed, but b1+4 alone should be used moderatly ! The video mentionned the "mixup".
@@VolbachTekken Yeah, I also mentioned that there is sound cue which indicates she is doing that string instead of a regular jab. So it can be low parried consistently if people are familiar with it.
Using this move as a poke will get you destroyed against anyone that knows the matchup. You mentioned that b+1+4 is a natural combo, but it absolutely is not! You can get hit and still block or even parry the second hit. 1,3 on the other hand, is not only a better parry, but is also an actual natural combo, so the low is guaranteed if the high lands. Not saying b+1+4 doesn’t have uses, but it does have big issues.
I strongly disagree. Only people in blue ranks and higher will react to it. B1+4 is a natural combo on hit. 1,3 is visible the same way b1+4 ob is.
@@VolbachTekken you’re right, it does jail!! Wow what a buff. Just realized they changed that. I stand corrected. These moves are definitely reactable if the first hit is blocked, but I agree, the new properties for this move are fantastic. They made her very dangerous in this game.
@@TheRealRayMillsToo b1+4 has been a natural combo for a very very long time. In fact it's a 12! punish (not a good one at that but still is) but yea it's not good to throw it a lot on block. 1,3 is even easier to react to on block than b1+4 imo. Coming from an Asuka player that doesn't have the sharpest reactions, yet still manages to block the second hit of 1,3 every single time
@@tofuutekken123 I think I just got traumatized out of using that move from the very beginning. 😂 this is great info, thank you!
Wow, I thought it was actually worth checking out. This is not a secret. If anything, you should tell them that the power up tackle and the fallen rain throw is easier to do now
Everyone knows that now, tho
1:54 for the move.
You sir/maam, a top G, thanks
@freeyourmind7538 You're welcome, this guy did so much yapping I had to timestamp it for others lol
your a god i was getting annoyed with the long ass talking about nothing intro
@@khale-bs6pu god? a limited person that eats, sleeps and goes toilet, gets cancer, hungry, is forgetful, can die at any moment, was given birth to, has to work a 9-5, is god? Learn the true definition of God and then search for a message that reflects the true definition. God is eternal by nature, anything/anyone that isnt, is not God. Simple. Disgusting how this word god is thrown around like it means nothing. Similar to how the word/phrase, what is a woman, means nothing in the degenerate west.
I started using as a starting move against people who often start with power crush. Also is nice that you can end it with a mid (that turns backwards!) or a low.
your vids are spreadsheet are top tier. ty man!
Thanks !
Bro im still playing ttt2 and this is my fav asuka move
As some ppl said that first hit does give it away, but if you use it like once or twice a game you’re probably golden. Thx for sharing!
Exactly, and most people (until blue ranks) are not going to see it at all
The worst thing isn't the fact her tools don't compensate for it it's that everyone else is able to compensate in some way for aggression.
Every time I use this move in a match I tell myself I need to abuse it more, and then I just forget about it. It is a sneaky good move for her.
true , its my 2nd day in tekken 8 and im already making ppl go crazy with this thing
But it's +9 on hit which is pretty good for set ups
3:34 Situational. Jab then b1+4 is good. Although, after the jab then side step, the jab on 1+4 whiffs giving an opponent an opening for a hop kick.
Jab was only there for me to know when to step, to show everyone how it works. Asuka's jab is -2 on block, so it's not even a good option before b1+4 haha
When I did this move and saw the frame data, I was like: "Hold up, is this allowed?"
i have been playing Asuka for 15 years now. this move is not bad at all against intermediate or lower skilled players, but against good players it will be low parryed 100% every single time which make the move almost useless in high levels unfortunately. there is one great use for it though.. if your opponent against the wall laying on the ground you can use it to finish the round since it's a safe low that can't be low parryed at that situation and it will trake side rollers and hit them on the ground.
Thank you for your comment. I use it realiably against a very good Bushin player, and get low-parried about 20% of the time only when I abuse it. If not, the move is pretty hard to see. But as I said in the video already, very experienced player (top 1%) will see it too often indeed !
You can get 75 off 3+4 (ws1+2 route) if you do ssr ff4, ff2 1
Thanks for exposing this cheesey weeb bait character
Not really, it's one of the only good moves and it's not even good at pro level x)
It's a great move on lower ranks. I'm on red ranks with asuka and this is one of the go to moves in many situations. I've been promoted to mighty ruler couple of times but on purple people seems to be much more aware of that. I guess blue onwards it might become useless. Not sure. Maybe one day I get there then I can tell.
It works until blue/purple if you don't abuse it !
Damn! I didn't know the frame data was that good...
imagine playing asuka
lol I don’t understand either bro she just seems so uninteresting
Agreed, I’m trying to get every char to Fujin and this is the character I least want to play
@@juniorfanti3005play her first and get her out the way
@@juniorfanti3005is she the only one
@@Jabermania what do you mean ?
Can't do it on my pad sadly, but switching to stick should help.
brah... play with two fingers and not your thumb. This is literally an easy input
you can just assign a shoulder button to do it
@@kailex6079 yea I do that to
You can assign 1+4 combination on sticks. I do it because all other buttons like 1+2 3+4 etc are assigned to r1,r2,l1,r2. Use your entire gamepad that’s very comfortable
Happy I found your channel, great explanations! Can you please explain why Asuka's can cans are supposedly good? It seems to take long and I always get punished after I use it.
decent range, counter hit launcher, low high(meaning it hits easily), safe, needs hard read duck to punish, fast and pushback enough to make it safe. Just dont push button after doing it if it doesnt launch
@@kamasutraspirit9561 It's correct, but pushback has been nerfed from T7. Jun has decent pushback on hers, compared to Asuka... But it's mostly a very good move because it's an agressive game and d3+4 is a 14frames CH launch that deals heavy damage for a low risk
What everyone else said, but also it jails now on normal hit, so you can no longer duck the second hit on reaction
@@TheRealRayMillsTooit’s always jailed
i saw this move in another video and immediatily thought how do i do that?! and this video appears god send
Volbach, thanks for enlightenment. Didn't know it is +5 on hit, that is pretty implementable indeed. I was using it sometimes to oki opponent after wall-combo because it's pretty fast homing low what makes it almost guaranteed in real game, but now I see it's usable in neutral as well.
Thanks ! Indeed
this is my fav move for heat stopping opponents, (or heatstopping in general if you feel like they're close to you and they're gonna try create some space from you) if you preassure them to a wall on opponent's low health, I jab check or feint attack with f+2 or snake edge[3,4] and I try to be predictable so that they try to initiate heat burst, if you're close enough b+2+4, 4 stops the heat and flips the opponent, ngl great round ender it should also work for opponents that don't get stopped by lows on heat bursts , in which case you can just b+2+4 for some easy damage and parry the burst, probably... I need more testings
All true
Love those videos keep it up please maybe I'll get out of blue one day with those
