Yo - this guy spends a ton of time on details of an octopus arm then pants over it with another character. That is what makes these paintings so amazing - high quality through and through. Even though you can't see it I know there is a stairway that leads up into one of the background mountains. It just adds so much more to the painting knowing all the detail that goes into even the parts we don't see. So awesome!!!

I just watched an hour long video of somebody speed painting and never even noticed the time. Each part of the painting is a painting in itself. I love the anticipation of figuring out what I’m seeing as the layers develop. “What’s that thing coming out of the tunnel? Oh, it’s a white bird snake!“ This is brilliant.
One of the greatest paintings I ever seen, been a huge fan for a long time, always so technically beautiful, I was in amazement watching the part with the fabric on the windmill, it could of been a video 5 hours long I would of still watched the whole thing without skipping it was that enjoyable to watch.
I just want to say that I love your work. I have learned so much about texturing and layering just by watching your videos. Also your use of the hair dryer to dry the paint faster so you can keep working is genius.
Your mind must be a weird and wondrous place Greg, I can't even imagine the thought process you go through on a minute by minute basis when you create these thoroughly amazing paintings ... just please keep creating them.
I work as a janitor at a bodyshop, but love to paint and draw what's in my imagination. I love to look at your paintings. As an artist myself, I must apologise as I am often times heard by my wife cussing at you through the computer screen. She''ll ask why and I'll just say , "Greg is insulting me again with his arrogant brush strokes. And the beings he creates, they come to life. They are cruel little creatures who like to mock the way I paint. And all i can think to say is f@#k-n-a out loud 3 or 4 times to clear the air. Amazing!! I would love to see your characters and creations as a carousel. Different collectible carousels. A lot of your characters are riding another creations, so an ornate The Outside carousel collection I think would be awesome. Now a life size rideable one would be insane. That would be a nice centerpiece to a Crayola exhibit, or museum, or freekin theme park!
The only thing I hate is that your videos have to end, i could sit around all day and watch your videos this video was an hour and it didn't seem that long . I'm an artist and You , Justin Bua and David Carson are by far my 3 go to artist when I need some inspiration or i need to be pushed creatively and this has made me better artist. your imagination and artistic mastery leaves me in awe every time I watch one of your videos. This painting is a true masterpiece and I cant wait to see what you put down on canvas next. one last thing how long did this painting take I would say 6-7 months but knowing you it probably took 1 month at the most.

Just as I think he's done with a section and I'm sitting there admiring it - he adds additional layers of detail and it blows my mind.
Those purple eyes around 17:30 are just gorgeous.
