I have lived in the world for 5+ years. Each time I return, it is like going home. So many characters, relationships, history, and a gourgeous world to explore.
As soon as i finished it a few days ago i instantly started a new game, i'm gonna play it again and again and again. Bloody good game, second only to Witcher 3 for me.
Any recommendations for similar immersive RPGs like this? Besides Elder Scrolls and Fallout since I already played those.

One of the Best games EVER! Story is great and tons to do! I have been wishing for a Part two! Would pay double the standard game price for it!
They are making a sequel as we speak, don't worry friend. The ending was a cliffhanger because another game is coming.

I am currently in early mid game , loved this game.
PS collect as many flowers as you can, it's the best skill in the game.

This game's entire intro portion did a good job of making the audience sympathise and root for Henry by the time he escaped out of Skalitz, and roused their thirst to avenge the death of his parents and reclaim the sword that had been stolen.
This was Warhorse Studios' first game, and other than the buggy release they nailed it in terms of the story, immersion and game mechanics. It is an absolute stellar of a masterpiece to this day.
And that is great writing. Hollywood could take a lot of cues from this game.
First game of Warhorse, but those people who created warhorse are Czech game making veterans.

It’s absolutely mind blowing that this game was given to us by an independent studio who got it’s start from Kickstarter.
I invested in this game two years before its release. Best $50 I have ever spent. I have fully or partially played through it at least a half dozen times.
They did get an actual investment from a Czech billionaire. The Kickstarter campaign was just to show investors that there is real demand for a game they wanted to create. The campaign did help a lot, but it wouldn't suffice, not even close.
well first of all, the game had a potential storywise and it's creator (Dan Vávra) is one of the best signs of quality in czech gaming. it's understandable that people would back it up. if I knew about the game when it was still on kickstarter, I would support them immediately without a single doubt.

To answer your question at 4:16 Henry’s “official” age according to the publisher is 27, since in the game he kills people and engages in some spicy behavior, but the devs have debunked that multiple times and stated that Henry is the same age or around the same age as Sir Hans Capon, who is a lord who is considered by the court to be just barely too young to rule (16-17)
Henry’s actual official age is 16-17

I hated this game when I first picked it up, but I was also doing everything wrong. A little research and my second playthrough was much more enjoyable. I'm on my 4th now 😆

As a fellow Czech, I felt the same :D But honestly with the complex politics in this period of history, which is of course depicted in the game too, I can't really blame people. Most of them will learn at some point, as much as I like my country, we aren't exactly the biggest after all.
As a Finn, I can't tell how many times I've heard (or read) people saying that Finland is in Scandinavia. So I feel you.

I had this game probably 5 months before I gave it a proper try, and it became one of my favourite games of all time.

AND it is pretty close from Prague, so it's easy to visit it by train or car and then spend some days in Prague.
I would recommend car since the train between the villages only comes 4 times a day, what made my visitation a little bit harder.

Skalitz was indeed burned down that year 1403. I like the historic realism in this game.
I barely started this game as well and already love it. I actually found this awesome channel because of this wonderful game.

I just started playing it again from the beginning. Favorite game ever. I'm trying to do the no kill no crime at all play through. I've yet to beat it this way... but now trying in normal mode as I've tried a few times in hardcore with all the detriments selected. I think I'm in over a 1000 hours now... glad to see your first play through.. now you'll have to do a few more when you finish this one! :D

Medieval times... SO STRESSFUL!
Right from the beginning this game shows you is a different type of game. That mini fetch quest, the one your father tells you he wants a cold beer. I remember on purpose I went to get the beer first thing, in order to see, and he told me to get another one because it was not cold.
This is one of my favourite games, I just finished money for old rope, I stopped playing for a while (just to try new games) but I picked it up yesterday and I'm loving every minute of it.
I loved this game right away, and the difficulty just immersed me more.
Saving with a potion is a pretty cool feature too, I think. It seemed a bit limiting at first, but it made me play the game closer to how it's meant to be, I think. Saving at sleeping spots became an important part of planning my ingame day, and later making my own savior potions felt very rewarding. You can savescum this game, but you have to earn that privilege :D

ok.. i'm at the beginning of the video .. but i just want to say .. it makes me happy to see that new people are still playing this game ... this is honestly all i ever wanted from videogame since i was like ... 5 .. the fact that it's based in my country as of game region and it's made by czech people is even better .... dunno how it goes throughout, but i hope you will enjoy all the time you spend with it 🙂

I have 1,283 hours on this game. I love it. Set in lands that are currently the Czech Republic. That beginning pulls you in.

I ordered the PC version from Czech Republic and left it sitting on a shelf. I was still in love with WOW, a game I played more than 10 years. But I could see those days were numbered and one day I would crave an alternative. That day came and I dusted off my copy of KCD (after I finally found where I had stashed it to keep it safe). It has not disappointed. It is beautiful to the eyes and ears which is important to me. I love that the player is not chained to a single path but can digress as they please. I have put in a few mods which I may disable for my next iteration of Henry. I could not bear to put Pebbles out to pasture so he got the fairy godmother treatment instead. Henry has a portable campground for his creature comforts when he travels out of town. As a woman myself, Theresa can just go right on with her needlework at Rattay Mill. Henry can stay celibate and anyway I have a grudge because she snitched on Henry when he stole a horse.
On my 4th playthrough. its AWESOME
I quite enjoy the game, been a long time, but sure was beautifully done for their first game. so very immersive and nerve wracking, combat felt dang serioius.
Remember to save often I don't know how many times I died and had to redo stuff cose I started playing this like 3 days ago and here's a tip to get archery up shoot sheep in the countryside Thay are easy targets to raise up your bow skills and hunting skills
Thinking about starting a 2nd playthrough, on PC this time instead of PS4.

@@swimmy3537 yes, I know but I am really autistic in the sense it gives me anxiety when someone doesnt get something. She later also uses worse weapons she found with to high requirements and struggles ALOT with them because the stamina drains so fast and henry is even slower with them. So if she just equiped it here she would have had the weapon in the slot and would not forget about it in the Quest Item tab. but I know I would have gotten my ass kicked aswell. Its just so ingraved in my brain and I tend to get the hang of games really quick so I get frustrated, but I have alot od understanding and it doesnt mean she is bad. It is natural to over see things or not think of them. I am just weird

Also, there were Saviour Schnapps in the house trunk. Lockpicking gets easier, and it helps if you've seen a video on how to do it.
I've done a playthrough on Hardcore mode, with all 9 negative perks(it's on my channel, in a playlist). No commentary, just the game. It's a great game, from a starting company. There are some infuriating elements, but once you get used to how it works, you'll do fine. And there are multiple ways to do any quest.

It's strange how each player behaves differently in this game, but the common thing is that everyone feels that the game is clearly about what is always in these games, that is "You must kill" In this game this rule, but don't pay. You don't have to kill anyone, actually only one person to reach the end of the game. Audrey plays the game and behaves like a normal person in the game. I saw videos of other players and I was shocked by how they behave in the game. I didn't understand I wonder how the players can use a weapon at the very beginning of the game in Skalitz and kill a person who treats Hanry nicely and greets him properly. So, for a polite greeting Hello Hanry, a response from Hanry came and it was murder? I'm glad that Audrey is mentally okay and is still a normal person

Great to see a playthrough this one of my favorite games. Kingdom come is up there with RDR2 as one of most immersive games i have played.

Been playing this for a 170 hours, maybe for a month or six weeks. It's the best First Person RPG I've played, its flaws are minor nuisances, its virtues are just excellence! The DLC "A Woman's Lot" is the best thing ever.
For those unsure: when you ride a horse, press the Right Face button to sprint, and press it twice to gallop (run fast). Left stick controls the animal, right stick controls the camera.

The intro to this game is fantastic, and as you say, very emotional and absorbing.
But it's really rough. All those stupid popups when you're trying to sneak down to get a horse and then ride away? It really needed a bit more polish in that area to ease people in!
I actually still have it mostly unplayed too, although I bought it at almost full price for a copy on disc for the xbox... do you think that it would still be buggy that way and/or worth playing?
From what I've seen so far, definitely worth playing. There are so many good things about this game, should give it a try:)

I managed to get the Royal Edition on the PS store for like 13 bucks, playing it right now since it was in my backlog
I also started playing this recently and I love everything except how underpowered I am in combat. the combat system is ok, but i can barely kill anyone.

I'm gonna wait for the multiplayer mod before I get back into this game.
Its still buggy, but with mod on free saves and saving periodically its not a problem. They still not fixed ?nightingale? catching bug with cage not dropping(jump and drop it from inventory mid jump) Also "nude" Capon spawn, sometimes even without sword...

Great story of the slow transformation of a near useless doofus into an idealistic knight. Great storyline and incredible graphics, but the combat system is still clumsy, but that is easily overlooked because how immersive the game is. There is lots to do!
That start of game has probably made a lot of people to rage quit. Or when trying to pick a lock first time :).
aww - you talked over a huge plot hint/clue in the opening conversation between your mother and father - but not many people spot it either!
You mean "blue-blooded idler" and "drinking like a lord" because he's Radzig's son? To be fair, you can't possibly know that on your first playthrough.

The game is still quite buggy (though more on the side of glitches than actual annoying bugs), but it's also really good!

I must be a genius, I gone trough the whole thing without dying and rich (selling herbs) hahaha. I have been killed first time by a guard trying to steal arrows.

I miss the part where the narrator talked in the beginning of the game and gave some insight of the kidnapping of King Wenceslas and what was going on during this time period.. I guess that they cut it out of the game for some reason or another in an update
