P.S.... I've also seen artists basecoat under metal leaf with RED or BLACK paint which also looks cool if you leave some of the small cracks with the basecoat showing through for an 'distressed' effect.
Doing this on paper, how would you sell a mixed media piece of art like the gold leaf floral painting of yours? Since everything should be archival etc ect. What would one use to seal the painting and how would one apply the paper painting onto a board? What kind of board would you glue it to? Thanks very much! Great video!

Simply gorgeous! If its made on paper. How do you frame it to protect? Do you add a frame with glass when we create this project?
You can definitely frame it under glass! That would protect it from getting dust and dirt on the ridges

How long does gilding paste stay sticky? Can u leave it for awhile and then finish later?
Yes, Bonnie, you could leave gilding paste for a while (couple of days), it will sty sticky
