Dear Maria - Thank-you for sharing this lovely tutorial. I was struggling with my painting, after having been away from watercolor for several years. I just couldn’t seem to get my mojo back. I cannot wait to try this! I was gifted a set of Daniel Smith Opera colours for my birthday. They are super saturated and bright. Some even look neon. They are just delicious 🙂I think they would be gorgeous for this project. I already use the Koi metallics - aren't they beautiful? I adore using metallic WC and acrylic paints in my paintings. Watching you has inspired me enormously and sends me running for my paints. I can think of no higher compliment! You are a wonderful teacher and I thank you ever so much ❤Love & Bless xo

Hi Maria, I am now on my third try at this painting. It is interesting to try and put these petals so close to each other. But I am getting there. I like using different colors that shine. Hey, it reminds me of peas on a vine.

I have a style of floral I paint... I’m going to try some of your techniques to see how I grow and change my versions.
Also I’m sure you have used the uni-ball Signo white pen. I find the tip is less sensitive to clogging then the Sakura.

White marker that works for me is Posca marker. It’s water based and comes in different sizes 👍🏻

I second that. My Signo white pen works on top of anything- even acrylic but it is water soluble.
@@momapes - Yep! It's a great pen. But yes, water soluble, so I only use it as the last, top layer.

Thank you. You could try any color and any tone. My aim is to inspire and share my ideas, but I always accent that there is no right and wrong, it's all about experimenting

Dear Judy, thank you! Try them first on the clean paper. Sometime it also helps to press a bit harder.

Yes, absolutely! these paints are compatible, they are both water based.
