I always wondered what happened with the rest of the Retro Roto line... thanks for explaining this. It's a damn shame they never came to market :(
The Knights of the Slice headquarters can have a robot called Shaker and it can look like R2D2 which looks like a crushed red pepper shaker. Ooh! And when they leave their hq to fight villainy and transform to their suits, they ride that treadmill that pizza ovens have.
Their cry would be, "Pie to the fourth place!" Their favorite food is turtle soup.
For anyone wondering about the Jazwares cutman, there was a defective batch of one of the Jazwares waves back when they were still in shops. Cutman, Protoman, and all the others from that wave were missing the launcher springs, and Rush came with two of the same leg. I could be remembering this wrong, but I vaugely remember wave 2 of the Retro Roto series having a very limited release run in some areas... What I know I'm not wrong about, though is the fact that there was Another wily figure based on his classic appearances rather than his megaman 8 outfit, and it was bizzarely out of scale. Oddly enough, that wily and his ridiculously expansive cardboard fortress are both in scale with the more recent megaman model kits! Funny how things can work out like that.
+Sleesus I can confirm a few things- 1) Cutman, Protoman and that waved shipped with three different spring variations. IIRC the first spring tests were too powerful and it was minimized as a running change. I do remember one retailer needed them shipped without springs (might have been a costing issue) and I want to say that was KB Toys. 2) Rush had an inner blister with specific forms to hold each of his legs, so it would not accommodate two of the same leg. So if any exist with two legs it is a manufacturing error and likely not more than one or two pieces exists like that. 3) Wave 2 of Retro Roto never shipped, never made it past paint sample stage. The back of Wave 1 card art featured some of Wave 2, which is why people believe them to have hit retail. 4) Yes there were two Wilys, but only the version with playset shipped to retail. -J

I actually have a Protoman that Jessie worked on. One of my favorite (and sadly few) Megaman toys! I need to find him again and place him with my other Protoman and Black Suit Zero!

Great episode. I love Megaman and i'm very sad that Capcom isn't making any Megaman games anymore. I remember having a toy of Zero when i was a kid and having no idea what it was. I now have a couple of the Revoltech Megaman figures and they are fantastic.

absolutely, its a really good kit, but id rather wait and see if D-arts releases that version of the ride armor than pay $350-$500 for one that has NO POSEABLE FINGERS

you can find some on amazon or ebay, just see if you can find good priced one becuase some very overpriced becuase thier fairly old.

But id recommend the gurren lagann figures, the model kits had limited articulation. Id recommend the revoltech gurren lagann(but they sometimes go for really high prices), the super robot chogokin(its in the higher price range but its worth it) or the gurren lagann composite ver.kai( well priced bt has a slightly different design).
