    ⭐️⭐️ Wow! What an incredibly capable device!
    I’m really impressed.
    I let my demo expire before I really learned much about it. Now that I know all this, I’m just going to buy it.
    I’ll sit with this video and walk through it one step at a time. That should solidify my understanding of its operation. 👍👍

    Best explanation so far. Just one note - the manual is referring to compression /expansion rather than compression / limiting. Other than that this is a very welcome detailed explanation that is helping me get my head around this very useful plugin. (I'm a fan of the "optical" sound and this is one of the best plugins I've purchased from PA I must say. )

    Amazing explanation! best on YT so far. Technicals are very important in this case. Thank you for drawing this as it's way easier to visualize this it and understand. Great EQ but it's CPU hog. I hope they will optimize it. And only 100% size available (bug).

    All you need for EQ plugins are:
    1) for tracks/mix bus: Q432 (Kush Audio's version, etc.) [subtractive-additive EQ]
    2) for mastering : TOMO Audiolabs LISA [mastering EQ so analog so pro....better than Michelangelo Hendyamps EQ, AMEK 200/250 EQs, EQ1 and Curve Bender mastering EQs]

    Great video as always Mike!
    It would be great if the plugin Gui gets "halved" when you activate channel link. I find that when working in link mode you should be able to hide the
    second channel in order to get a less convoluted , easier on the eye Tool. It has great possibilities but gee that looks so crowded an convoluted I got almost dizzy in the end :-)

      If you are a Pro Q user, check out the Kirchhoff EQ.

    • @joost3783
      @joost3783 Год назад +1

      @@bakharandi I did check it out. And it's better than the ProQ3 at the moment, but I still have faith in Fabfilter and I will wait for the ProQ4 and then decide if I'm gonna switch over to Kirchhoff. Especially now since I got other stuff like the SplitEQ which even the Kirchhoff doesn't compare to (edit: + I know it's unimportant but I hate how the Kirchhoff looks, the Fabfilter is just so beautiful to took at xD)

      @@joost3783
      At the end of the day, it's what You are comfortable with, to get the results You are looking for. ProQ3 set the bar high and Kirchoff just raised the bar, yet, like Pro Tools, ProQ will always be around because it does what it does very well , , , As for Split EQ, I got very excited about that one as well, when I demoed it. Yet, I realized that Kirchhoff also has the ability to tame, excite, and shape the Transients very well . . . As every one of their 30 plus bands, in Dynamic mode, has the "Above" and "Below" sections, with additional control over threshold and ratio (Percentage), ect . . . So, I poked around and found out and learned how to get the same results, very quickly . . . Kirchhoff is really an All-around Desert Island Beast, like an advanced Swiss Army Knife of EQs . . . Yet, of course, if one can get all of the same results with a variety of other tools that vibe better with one's established workflow and aesthetic, than there is no real need to add it to your collection . . . I also find that it need not replace anything else in my collection . . . Even though I can get the Maag 40k harmonic series excitement by opening a midrange "Blue" Shelf in a node, I may still open a Maag EQ somewhere else, anyway . . . Even though it can duplicate all of the Pultec curves, I will still open a Pultec style EQ somewhere else, anyway . . . Even though I can pop in a 3.2k Neve Bell curve node, I will also open a Neve console emulation, somewhere else, anyway, ect.
      We are truly Blessed in this Era, to have such Amazing Professional Tools at our fingertips, without having to Mortgage our homes to acquire them . . . ! . . . 🙂

    PA themselves describe LISA saying "This dynamic EQ was designed with mastering applications in mind" and yet you don't demonstrate it mastering. That is just brilliant, BRILLIANT work.

    How do this compare to softube Weiss DS1 MK3 mastering plugin ?

    • @klhtexier580
      @klhtexier580 2 года назад +4

      How to compare the 2 products since they are not really comparable ? This is a dynamic EQ (but one that can be passive) with multiple bands and the ability to adjust the compression on each band. The DS1-MK3 does not have the possibility to work on frequencies in such a precise way. It is a "finishing" tool in Mastering that requires real skills because this product is complex (best way is to Start with the MM1 and upgrade to the DS1-MK3). The 2 tools are of course complementary
      Sorry for my poor english :(

    Gui is horrible, can hardly read anything on my screen, anyway way too many knobs on one plugin, no fun at all, so useless for me, also pretty high on cpu

  • @zyxyuv1650
    @zyxyuv1650 Год назад

    The UI is a nightmare. There's around 600 labels onscreen. I don't want to see all this crap. I'm not impressed by it. It's supposed to make people feel like it's expensive but I don't care. That design was a requirement for the hardware but it's not a requirement for the software. It's just there to please noobies who wanna feel like they have a fun toy. It would be much better if you could switch to a view that has rows and columns with simple big LED readouts for each of the frequencies and gain values that you can mouse up and down on. With this horrible UI you can't just glance at the plugin and read what the values are set to, which you could do in 1 second if it was readable. Instead you have to do a complex transformation looking at 600 labels and 10 different types of ranged value knobs. Being able to read/edit the values in a grid is thinking too big and thinking too far outside the box for these companies to do, it's just too obvious of a thing so they can't ever do it. And it will always be the same over and over again, another hardware UI emulation forced on us. The UI is actually really cute and professional looking and I might even use it sometimes, but when there's no other option for something clearer and faster to read it's hard to appreciate it.

      The lay out is actually very simple and Brilliant, once you get it sorted out . . . The Boost/Cut button is Brilliant . . . as it saves on what would be 16 more knobs.
