I’m a Ukrainian who lives in Hawaii. I only started to date Asians after 5 years of living there. Never had an exposure to Asian man before that. Now, I’m with my bf who is Vietnamese for over 2 years. After the exposure to the culture I prefer man who are extremely Asian looking and not tall. I think Asian culture is similar to Ukrainian in the family values and house cleanliness. I can’t stand Americans wearing shoes in the house.

I am with a Korean man and I'm white. I was babysat by a Taiwanese family growing up so I always felt more comfortable around Asian families. Other than that I'm basic AF.

I'm a white woman (mainly Swedish and Canadian with some other stuff mixed in) married to a Chinese American guy for 10 years, together for around 14 and we became friends maybe 25 years ago - this video made me so glad I don't have to think about dating anymore! So, he takes me to the tiny, authentic spots he loves in Chinatown and I introduced him to buckwheat pancakes. We celebrate CNY, our kiddos favorite holiday, and I get to go nuts with family traditions for Christmas passed down from my family. The main course of a meal is usually Asian but dessert is from my side. It's a good mix for us so I don't think it always has to lean one way or the other - it just takes a desire to understand and blend in a way that works for one's own relationship. 10/10 would recommend. I'm south east Asian dating a white Irish girl from New England. I've dated plenty of girls within and outside my race. To be honest, it's not really a big thing. Once you are in the relationship everything outside is just a blur and your focus is on the relationship.

I’m a very basic white American B of Eastern European heritage, I own a logistics company and I am a boss. I am attracted to smart guys with a killer work ethic - my ex was a Korean immigrant. His story of coming to America and his successes he worked hard for was ultra impressive and sexy. My grandparents were also immigrants so we had similar family history even though it was SE Asia and Eastern European cultures, our families were still similar. Not one single person, family friend, coworker, neighbor, passing stranger cared that we were technically an interracial couple not one person ever gave looks, made comments, etc. 2 adults in a relationship, no ones business and no one made it their business - I live in upstate western NY a high white population yes but also a very big mix of all races and ethnicities - Asian, Indian, Puerto Rican, African American, Mexican, Native American. It didn’t work out because we both owned businesses with travel heavy schedules and the distance and time apart made it tough, and we had a very amicable break up and still have a ton of respect for each other and our businesses. Also all Asian cuisine is top tier, and the bland ass Polish food i grew up on not so much 😂

I'm Vietnamese, I only date young white girls. However, since I'm Vietnamese, I cannot speak for other Asian men, since Vietnamese men think, act, and behave differently from the other Asian men. There are no cultural or generational differences for me. Vietnamese men tend to get marry early and have children in their 20's. It rare for a Vietnamese woman to be in her 30's and not have children or is still single. We understand the importance of being fertile and not bring our population to extinction. As for me, I'm not attracted to older white women (regardless of her status) and even if she was a virgin and not a 304's. Not to mention, an older white women look significantly older than me. I have amazing gene where I don't even age. I still get carded when I buy beers lol. My co-workers have no idea what my age even is. However, I did date a beautiful 26 year old girl in college and a 30 year old girl I met at a restaurant as I was passing through. Oh forgot, I also dated a 29 year old elementary school teacher. I’m 1/2 Asian (look Latino) and I never had much luck dating white girls, black girls, Indian girls, etc… Latina girls seem to be interested in me at first, but suddenly changed when I told them that I’m 1/2 Asian/white and not Latino. Fortunately Asian girls would date me back in the day. Many of my Asian and 1/2 Asian friends wanted to mostly or only date white girls. I think that they see it as some sort of status symbol or something like that. I know many Latinos that only want to date whites too. We’re 40s and 50s now and some are still single because they insist on white and won’t consider other races.

Y'all are some funny dudes, but I love how you bring valid points. As Hispanic person myself who has Italian and Mexican descent, I'm super family oriented and follow Catholicism closely too. I've gone on dates with Asian women, both Chinese and Korean so far, usually it does not go far after the first date because I see that most are not that family oriented or open to basic things. I remember this one Korean girl I matches with on Hinge, got at me for not taking her to a dinner place for a first date and instead said coffee was too basic. Then most recently Chinese girl started loosing interest after I said how I call my parents 2x times a week and go to church with them when I see them too. I am of 2/3 Celtic and 1/3 Scandinavian heritage. My family is from upstate NY (Scottish/mother) and Connecticut (Irish/ father). New England is the only part of the country with some areas with a majority Celtic heritage. Whereas my New England family sought inclusion with the Democrats, my nuclear family moved to North Carolina, which is culturally distinct from the Deep South because it was settled by English aristocrats rather than English slave owners from the Caribbean as well as from Appalachia which was settled by English and Anglo Saxon lowland Scots who colonized northern Ireland before coming to Appalachia. Anyway so they sought inclusion with a more conservative tribe, but it was Protestant/Methodist and not the Deep South Baptist type. They even attempted to hide my heritage in their effort at inclusion, but my New England relatives took pity on me and shared the truth after I had already studied postcolonial literature at Columbia U. thinking I was from the colonizing type and feeling guilty about it. In terms of upstate NY they have a slightly more country vibe. Well I married an Indonesian guy and we have two kids and have been married 8.5 years. It turns out my whole family was racist because they felt unstable related to their own inclusion, basically. I lived in New York City for 10 years before coming to Indonesia with a scholarship after the economic crash. We have a decent lifestyle here with him as a social worker and myself a teacher (yoga, English and other). I probably sound like I don't really belong in any type and I certainly have felt often misunderstood. However, I remember this Puerto Rican girl telling me I was nothing like Jodie Foster and that I was like Chloe Sevigny. She was from Connecticut, where many upscale Irish Americans live. So I think you might be missing a Chloe Sevigny type. Indie rock has possibly been shattered but there are still some of us hanging around, resisting Occidentalist fantasy. Not sure it would provide much validation for anyone seeking that (and I don't think most people would want to be a validation vehicle), but I think it's worth mentioning. Incidentally I grew up babysitting every weekend and I'm a great cook :-)
Asian male here, dated around the block. Ive dated asians, whites, and blacks. Dating white girls can be a mixed bag(as like all dating). The biggest difficulty is the cultural shock and how much we prioritize family values, sometimes choosing it over our careers.
I just found that mix race couple of AM and WF tend to have stable and long lasting relationship. I'm in Canada and the ones that I know have very successful marriage. It is still very much of a rarity though, especially when compared to AF/WM.

There are many Russians who are living in Asian republics of the former USSR, where local White Russians grow up with Asians. My husband has said before that sometimes I know more about his culture than he does. I felt that it was important to learn if we were serious about our lives together and even more so once we had a child. So, he takes me to the tiny, authentic spots he loves in Chinatown and I introduced him to buckwheat pancakes. We celebrate CNY, our kiddos favorite holiday, and I get to go nuts with family traditions for Christmas passed down from my family. The main course of a meal is usually Asian but dessert is from my side. It's a good mix for us so I don't think it always has to lean one way or the other - it just takes a desire to understand and blend in a way that works for one's own relationship.

It didn’t work out because we both owned businesses with travel heavy schedules and the distance and time apart made it tough, and we had a very amicable break up and still have a ton of respect for each other and our businesses. Also all Asian cuisine is top tier, and the bland ass Polish food i grew up on not so much 😂

I'm Vietnamese, I only date young white girls. However, since I'm Vietnamese, I cannot speak for other Asian men, since Vietnamese men think, act, and behave differently from the other Asian men. There are no cultural or generational differences for me. Vietnamese men tend to get marry early and have children in their 20's. It rare for a Vietnamese woman to be in her 30's and not have children or is still single. We understand the importance of being fertile and not bring our population to extinction.
As for me, I'm not attracted to older white women (regardless of her status) and even if she was a virgin and not a 304's. Not to mention, an older white women look significantly older than me. I have amazing gene where I don't even age. I still get carded when I buy beers lol. My co-workers have no idea what my age even is. However, I did date a beautiful 26 year old girl in college and a 30 year old girl I met at a restaurant as I was passing through. Oh forgot, I also dated a 29 year old elementary school teacher. I’m 1/2 Asian (look Latino) and I never had much luck dating white girls, black girls, Indian girls, etc… Latina girls seem to be interested in me at first, but suddenly changed when I told them that I’m 1/2 Asian/white and not Latino. Fortunately Asian girls would date me back in the day. Many of my Asian and 1/2 Asian friends wanted to mostly or only date white girls. I think that they see it as some sort of status symbol or something like that. I know many Latinos that only want to date whites too. We’re 40s and 50s now and some are still single because they insist on white and won’t consider other races.

Y'all are some funny dudes, but I love how you bring valid points. As Hispanic person myself who has Italian and Mexican descent, I'm super family oriented and follow Catholicism closely too. I've gone on dates with Asian women, both Chinese and Korean so far, usually it does not go far after the first date because I see that most are not that family oriented or open to basic things. I remember this one Korean girl I matches with on Hinge, got at me for not taking her to a dinner place for a first date and instead said coffee was too basic. Then most recently Chinese girl started loosing interest after I said how I call my parents 2x times a week and go to church with them when I see them too. That and I notice none are into outdoors stuff like hiking, surfing or sports like Football (Soccer), in fact I remember I got unmatched with one asap after I said that I was playing Football with my boys.

(This is just what I heard from other people) American is white Americans who are mixed with various European ancestry and who don't know what they're mixed with, so they're just considered American. I am of 2/3 Celtic and 1/3 Scandinavian heritage. My family is from upstate NY (Scottish/mother) and Connecticut (Irish/ father). New England is the only part of the country with some areas with a majority Celtic heritage. Whereas my New England family sought inclusion with the Democrats, my nuclear family moved to North Carolina, which is culturally distinct from the Deep South because it was settled by English aristocrats rather than English slave owners from the Caribbean as well as from Appalachia which was settled by English and Anglo Saxon lowland Scots who colonized northern Ireland before coming to Appalachia. Anyway so they sought inclusion with a more conservative tribe, but it was Protestant/Methodist and not the Deep South Baptist type. They even attempted to hide my heritage in their effort at inclusion, but my New England relatives took pity on me and shared the truth after I had already studied postcolonial literature at Columbia U. thinking I was from the colonizing type and feeling guilty about it. In terms of upstate NY they have a slightly more country vibe. Well I married an Indonesian guy and we have two kids and have been married 8.5 years. It turns out my whole family was racist because they felt unstable related to their own inclusion, basically. I lived in New York City for 10 years before coming to Indonesia with a scholarship after the economic crash. We have a decent lifestyle here with him as a social worker and myself a teacher (yoga, English and other). I probably sound like I don't really belong in any type and I certainly have felt often misunderstood. However, I remember this Puerto Rican girl telling me I was nothing like Jodie Foster and that I was like Chloe Sevigny. She was from Connecticut, where many upscale Irish Americans live. So I think you might be missing a Chloe Sevigny type. Indie rock has possibly been shattered but there are still some of us hanging around, resisting Occidentalist fantasy. Not sure it would provide much validation for anyone seeking that (and I don't think most people would want to be a validation vehicle), but I think it's worth mentioning. Incidentally I grew up babysitting every weekend and I'm a great cook :-)

There are many Russians who are living in Asian republics of the former USSR, where local White Russians grow up with Asians.
