Although to be fair, most people have an in-group racial dating preference, so it's not necessarily a result of unadulterated racism.
There is merit to the idea that people look for similar facial features in a prospective mate, whether this manifests across racial lines or otherwise. This is what the assortative mating strategy argues.

Generally speaking, if an Asian guy is pulling a white chick who doesn't exclusively date Asians, he's probably already more whitewashed/Westernized, so cultural conflict is much less of an obstacle compared to the international couples who transcend geographical/linguistic boundaries.
Filipinos tend to have an easier time dating interracially because they have a more ethnically ambiguous look compared to your run-of-the-mill East/SE Asian. Their features are much more congruent with Western beauty standards.
Asian/non-white women may want to date white or non-Asian men to fit in with the system as part of their hypergamous nature, but men don't orient their dating choices around status. Men are visual creatures. We don't subconsciously gravitate towards X race because of a perceived social benefit; we're attracted to beauty. Men and women don't vet potential romantic partners the same way.
Asian men probably have a better success rate with European women than American white women because of the cultural differences in how Asians are framed. In Europe, the sentiment tends to be either neutral or positive, whereas America obviously hasn't painted Asian men in the most positive light (i.e., yellow peril).
It's funny that Asian men get praised whenever they date interracially, but it's the precise opposite for Asian women. Although it's easy to understand why. People applaud what's difficult while chastising what's easy.

I’m a Ukrainian who lives in Hawaii. I only started to date Asians after 5 years of living there. Never had an exposure to Asian man before that. Now, I’m with my bf who is Vietnamese for over 2 years. After the exposure to the culture I prefer man who are extremely Asian looking and not tall. I think Asian culture is similar to Ukrainian in the family values and house cleanliness. I can’t stand Americans wearing shoes in the house.

We grew up in an upper middle class white town in California. We are in our late 30s. I think if you work in healthcare or tech it's easier to meet White girls.

Grew up in partially in Europe, have seen Eastern Asian men dating & married to (tall blonde blue eyes)English, French, Irish, Swedish, Danish, Russian, Hungarian, German, Polish. Also noticeably my Asian guy friends, many of them have a thing for petite spanish. I'm Vietnamese, I only date young white girls. However, since I'm Vietnamese, I cannot speak for other Asian men, since Vietnamese men think, act, and behave differently from the other Asian men. There are no cultural or generational differences for me. Vietnamese men tend to get marry early and have children in their 20's. It rare for a Vietnamese woman to be in her 30's and not have children or is still single. We understand the importance of being fertile and not bring our population to extinction.
As for me, I'm not attracted to older white women (regardless of her status) and even if she was a virgin and not a 304's. Not to mention, an older white women look significantly older than me. I have amazing gene where I don't even age. I still get carded when I buy beers lol. My co-workers have no idea what my age even is. However, I did date a beautiful 26 year old girl in college and a 30 year old girl I met at a restaurant as I was passing through. Oh forgot, I also dated a 29 year old elementary school teacher. But these happen when I was young and still in college.

An Age appropriate Asian man who is well respected among his own family/relatives/communities that comes from a good reputable cultural traditional family lineage that has a legacy. He wouldn't mind at all nor bothered him with all those questions you've asked. It's easy to attract these types of asian men just like any typical men out there. These asian men has no standards nor expectations. He does what makes him happy and he likes what he likes. He lives life by the day. He has no family structure, tradition nor culture. He makes big and small mistakes and learn as he goes through life with no guidance. He has no self identity besides "I'm an Asian Human Male species" ... He follows whatever is the latest hip thing or trend that he can fit into or accepted by in society.

Asian women are not an upgrade, they're just falsely stereotypes as submissive, so white men date them. They date them just to obtain someone they think they can overpower and dominate. If Asian women - or people for that matter - were than undeniably, globally, beautiful, then we'd see them more often in our print and TV media, embraced and praised for their beauty. And since you know that's not the case, then that means they're not viewed as universally attractive. Which makes sense, bc many Asian women from Asia actually lack curves (front and back), that white man, in particular, find very important.... that's why the Asian unicorn who actually has curves gets heavily fetishized.
People, especially white people, date outside of their own if by intention and not accidentally falling in love, simply to take a break from the common, to try something new and exotic. So they'll date those poc women, especially less stereotypically attractive ones, like Black and Asian, just to try something different.
Whereas with Latinas, they all date Latinas simply because Latinas are very attractive and no other particular reason. People who date people based on character and individuality, and not based on generalizing a while ethnicity of people, are a complete different story and the only normal people here, unfortunately.

I’m a very basic white American B of Eastern European heritage, I own a logistics company and I am a boss. I am attracted to smart guys with a killer work ethic - my ex was a Korean immigrant. His story of coming to America and his successes he worked hard for was ultra impressive and sexy. My grandparents were also immigrants so we had similar family history even though it was SE Asia and Eastern European cultures, our families were still similar. Not one single person, family friend, coworker, neighbor, passing stranger cared that we were technically an interracial couple not one person ever gave looks, made comments, etc. 2 adults in a relationship, no ones business and no one made it their business - I live in upstate western NY a high white population yes but also a very big mix of all races and ethnicities - Asian, Indian, Puerto Rican, African American, Mexican, Native American. It didn’t work out because we both owned businesses with travel heavy schedules and the distance and time apart made it tough, and we had a very amicable break up and still have a ton of respect for each other and our businesses. Also all Asian cuisine is top tier, and the bland ass Polish food i grew up on not so much 😂

Opposite beliefs do not attract, my point was race also doesn’t matter to me, but lazy people i do not find attractive IDGAF if they have model good looks. I lived in Washington DC area for over 10 years and saw total of one AMWF and zero AMXF couples. For hapa and Asian men DC area is horrible for us. Even worse WMAF outbumber AMAF in the DMV.

Y'all are some funny dudes, but I love how you bring valid points. As Hispanic person myself who has Italian and Mexican descent, I'm super family oriented and follow Catholicism closely too. I've gone on dates with Asian women, both Chinese and Korean so far, usually it does not go far after the first date because I see that most are not that family oriented or open to basic things. I remember this one Korean girl I matches with on Hinge, got at me for not taking her to a dinner place for a first date and instead said coffee was too basic. Then most recently Chinese girl started loosing interest after I said how I call my parents 2x times a week and go to church with them when I see them too. That and I notice none are into outdoors stuff like hiking, surfing or sports like Football (Soccer), in fact I remember I got unmatched with one asap after I said that I was playing Football with my boys.
