looking back at this year, dividing my time to put Rachel in a car had an impact. I'm glad I did but I just did not turn laps often or consistently enough to make any gains.
Thats what I am planning, probably wont waste as much time just showing welding but will focus on the key decisions and methods. I got the frame up in the shop and laying over the table today. Probably be able to start on it around Dec 1st.
@@DIRTRACELIFE car is junk. We had a fast hotrod to. Happened November 4th of the Duel in the Desert coming out of turn 2. Had a run on the outside of my A main and bottom car though he was clear. Walls don't move.
Well you're getting her dialed in cuz she was but we all make mistakes I've had the same problem this year only got to run a couple races was going to run the whole month of October and we got rained out for the whole month of October but you're getting her there can't wait to see the new chassis do you have a good one buddy I'll talk to you later
Definitely seeing Rachel get better at this point. I will be focused on building the new chassis early next year but plan to have Rachel driving the camaro as much as possible while I do that.
Your correct on the seat time. Probably for your situation you need to run more local shows just to use it as testing, and your driving development. My advice on your new car is after you take all the parts off of the present car that your reusing is to sell car if someone wants it. The car can be converted into a factory stock or something similar and you get a few bucks to put into the new car
100% agree on hurting for track time. really was feeling that this year. Its been hard to juggle the day job, channel, and two race cars. but I have a new plan for next year to help with that.
I don’t want to sound mean but if you need to learn to drive your car buying a new one is nice but I don’t think it’s gonna help you need seat time and being able to tell what your car likes great video
I Build my own and dont buy racecars and picked up a bare frame to build my next race car to better work with. This car is a 73-77 and I made it clear a year ago I wanted to learn what I could, grow in skill, and then evolve on the next one using a metric frame. Take the good parts, change the bad, learn about how I am driving, and build something that suits me better and will help me improve. I am very aware of my challenges, limitations, and short comings. Part of the reason for the channel is just to share with others how it really works for those who love it, are on a tight budget, and are trying to improve and win one day.
Measure the shock Bolt center to bolt center .
Definitely
Please use a Jack stand
about the most common way at the track is throwing a wheel under the car.
Thank You so much for the videos. Surely I am not the only one who is learning at your expense!! Keep diggin. When is that big Pure Stock race???
thanks Patrick, we will have the Camaro at Whynot Nov 16-18th for the World Championship show.
@@DIRTRACELIFE Ty Sir
I recognize some of them fast Mississippi cars you keeping up with em brother 🤙🏼💯
bunch of them for sure. see ya at the World Championship John.
I’d like to see what you could do at these big races if you got to run the car every week.

I hope you do another full build videos on the new ride

Bigger tracks and more banking equates to stiffer right side springs, especially the RF.
Say it again Rich, for sure. I should have just made a guess and went up like 200 lbs on rate on that RF before I left the house.
@DIRTRACELIFE hey man, it's all about learning and gaining knowledge... for next time etc.
Is it Metric time yet?!
picked up a bare frame Saturday . . .
What are you gonna do with that roller
I'll scavenge everything I can from it before I chop up what left. I'm always on a tight budget so repurposing parts is half the game.
I rolled my first las vegas race.
And I hope by "rolled" you mean rolled into the pits and had your first race there! 😉

Sorry, what about freeze plugs? I mentioned changing out my spark plugs though 😀
