I've been in the hobby since 1994. I've had many successful tanks over the years, what I've found is there is always something going wrong 🤣 I had an electrician at my house today he stared open mouthed at my tank and said "that's the most beautiful aquarium I've have ever seen in my life" I looked him in the eye and said it looks terrible right now. He looked back at me as if I was mad. You think it would get easier considering the amount of experience I have. My current tank has been hands down the most difficult. You are correct it's a difficult hobby, and mastery takes decades. The number of people I've seen quit the hobby in my time blows my mind. If your videos help some stay and help pay for some of the upkeep, good for you 😊
I’m in the same boat. I setup the biggest tank I’ve ever had (125) about a year ago. It’s been one problem after another and it’s been more of a frustration than it’s been an enjoyable hobby. I’ve been in the hobby for like 6 or 7 years and don’t see myself getting out but, very discouraging. Glad to see you got through your issues!

Man it can definitely be frustrating to keep a tank on track. But really would you want reef if it was super easy??? I know myself I would have probably been out of the hobby years ago out of boredom. I love the challenges but can be a heart breaker too at times. When everything comes together and everything is growing and happy that is a great feeling!!!
100% Agree…it definitely is a challenge emotionally as well, lol. My wife is pretty certain she knows when the tank is doing well and when it’s not, just based on how I’m acting on a given day! Hoping things will be back on track soon and that great feeling will return!
