This is exactly what I need! An iPad adds much less weight, often times after I finished packing all my cameras and lights I felt the weight is okay, but when I squeezed my 13" MacBook pro (which is pretty light compared to the 16") in the bag, it suddenly weights like a ton.

When I would shoot for magazines, I would tether to a Microsoft Surface with Capture One. The magazine staff would gather around the assistant holding the Surface and be able to direct changes they want on the fly. The only limitation was the buffer speed of the images taking a while to get to the Surface via the Tether tools cable.
When the Sony a7RIV came out, I was able to direct JPGs to be sent out to the tether while the RAWs got written to the card. The speed of this was so much quicker, I was able to ditch the cable and do it wirelessly. Having a large screen that the editor of the magazine can see and direct stuff is amazing. Same with a MUA or stylist being able to see any issues that need to be corrected. I have a couple videos on my channel showcasing this (shameless plug).

Can one control the camera and camera settings from the App?
    And a couple of comments:
    1. The price proposition of Capture One is in general pretty bad, I still have my perpetual license but paying each year or the monthly pricing is just nonsense it used to cost more than Lightroom plus Photoshop plus cloud storage from adobe, it's true they cut the pricing but I already have the subscription. Yes capture One is better at tethering, but the image quality difference is no longer universal. (it now depends on the image) and in any case, if one wants the best image quality one should go with the native software. Clearly as a Sony shooter Capture, One is the best for you. Very nice overview.

I'm currently on a 256 GB iPad, however I plan on upgrading to a type C (current iPad is 12" pro with lightning) and will probably go to 512 GB. @@mikel5094 I shoot raw of course. My images are quite large as my cams are 50 / 60 MP, but my shoots aren't often high volume. My raw file size is irrelevant to your use case though. Divide storage size by file size and you'll know how many images you can store on it, and decide what size is enough based on the volume of your shoots. Example: a 250 GB iPad would hold a bit under 10,000 40MB raw images, depending on how much space you use for other apps.
