    About this video:
Goecha La is a trek in Sikkim which takes you close to one of the highest mountains in the world, Mt Kanchenjunga. But not only that, in this trek you get to see a whole lot of large mountains, uncountable species of birds and the transition from deep forest to Alpine zone to Snow zone as well as high alpine lake.
    ITINERARY:
Day 1: We took our train from Sealdah station and reached New Jalpaiguri station the next day.
Day 2: We booked a cab and reached our trailhead Yuksom.
Day 3: We started our hike to Sachen at around 9:30 a.m. This was the first day of the trek, and it was through a lush green forest. we had to cross 2 bridges.
Day 4: Our destination of the day was Tshoka. After crossing the 3rd bridge over the Prekchu river, our steep ascend began. we had our lunch at Bakhim, where there was a small tea shop. After reaching Tshoka, we visited the monastery there and relaxed the rest of the day.
Day 5: Dzongri was our destination, the steep climb continued that day also through the thick Rhododendron forest which continued for kilometers after kilometers. We had our lunch at Phedang and continued with our ascend, then our ascend got paused when we reached Deorali top. After taking a rest we moved on to our camp at Dzongri.
Day 6: we woke up at 5 a.m. to reach the Dzongri top, and it was one of the steepest climbs, with the trail almost being at an angle of 70 degrees. But after the climb, the panoramic view was worth every hard climb. After watching the sunrise, we returned to our camp, packed our bags, and started moving for our next destination which was Thansing. This was the most beautiful hike through the alpine zone and getting to see huge mountains upfront. We reached Kokchurang after a steep descend. We hiked by the river Prekchu to reach Thansing.
Day 7: This was the most tiring day as we had to wake up at 1 a.m. and leave for Goecha La viewpoint 1 by 2 a.m. After crossing numerous streams, and crossing Samity lake. We reached viewpoint 1 just at the right time. after watching the sunrise, we returned to our camp at Thansing.
Day 8: We hiked back to Bakhim via Phedang and Tshoka and got the well-deserved rest that we needed.
Day 9: We hiked back to Yuksom.

This is perhaps the most beautiful and original video of Gochella trek. The video captures pure original scenery, sounds of water flowing and various less-exposed places of the whole track, without any unnecessary editing, add of background music and showing faces of people, which most of the videos actually contain. Here the background music is very sober, delicate and authentic to the heavenly sights and feelings of the trail. I love this video so much.

Awesome video documenting the whole journey. About your filming...
    1. How did you manage the battery life on the trek? Did you carry excess batteries or did you have some kind of charging option?
2.Did you have an external mic?
    3. Then, how did you manage card storage? Again excess cards or did you have a backup storage option?
    4. What software did you use to put the video together?
Many thanks. Again great video. Very inspiring.

      shoes: SH250 decathlon
jacket: i used a synthetic jacket rated for -5C with another fleece jacket.

Generally October is considered to be one of the best month as the chances of getting clear sky is high, but weather changes for time to time, so nothing can be promised.
Then also you'll get clear sky in the morning, unless it is raining, but that is unlikely.
I would say go for it!
