- We decided to do something bold for our kitchen and go matte black!
These stunning cabinets came from Porcelanosa. I also wanted everything to be integrated giving a nice modern feel with clean lines to the kitchen. Our fridge, freezer and oven came from Fisher and Paykel while our dishwasher was from Bosch. We used a cool 24" drawer microwave from Sharp that added a unique element you don't see with many appliances.
We added gold detailing everywhere from our kitchen faucets from Rubinet and had EM Dynamics take care of the gold detailing on the island and the toe kick. Our island and backsplash were the beautiful Kala White from Porcelanosa as well. Finally, like the rest of the house, we had Declutter with Coco organize all our cabinets and spice drawer.

That's a beautiful black kitchen! Really well done, I'm doing a kitchen myself I'm skeptical of how long these faux marble like textures stay in the trend! But since it's “marble like” hope it stays relevant for life!

Hi! Absolutely love the matt black - it looks amazing. I’m considering a similar kitchen design and was just wondering how easy/difficult you’ve found cleaning the cabinets? I’ve heard so many horror stories about matt black cabinetry but I love the look so much
Thanks so much! You definitely have to be more vigilant than a white kitchen but the effect is stunning. We won't have any stains and it's relatively easy to wipe down. The cabinet came from Porcelanosa and their material is very easy to clean. Highly recommended. Good luck! Come back here and post pictures ;)
You should check out Olivia Edwards-Silk's Howdens Kitchen Tour. It's also, stunning and the black matte ikea cabinets are almost the replica of these with a 25 year warranty
What cabinet fronts and color are these? I am building a very similar kitchen and like how sleek yours are! Mine have a small shaker but maybe its better to have streamline!
Also, what is the gold medal sheet on island called?
It’s a matte black kitchen that wasn’t painted but came directly from the supplier - Porcelanosa. That makes it a lot more durable but obviously comes at a cost of having to install brand new cabinetry. The gold metal sheet is called Octolux and was done by EM Dynamics here in Toronto. Hope that helps!

@@jaredstevens5382 There's always more money that can be spent - I could have gone with a Sub-Zero fridge for $10K more for instance - but I was happy with the result. I would say this is definitely towards the higher end finishes you can go with.
How do you clean your black Mayte cabinets? I still can’t find a good method. It legit makes me cry that it stains so easily and I can’t find a way to clean it.
Porcelanosa has a special material to reduce stains, smudges, etc. Still requires some maintenance to keep looking clean and fresh
Does your black matte cabinets stain? I wanted to add black cabinets to my kitchen but with some research, people were saying oil stains the cabinets and its very hard to clean. I was going for thermoplastic material....What do you think?

I see video after video of people doing all this work that results in beautiful kitchens. I will never understand why they don’t replace their electrical outlets and wall plates. @1:59 look how out of place that crappy wall plate looks. 2 words “Legrand Adorne” you can thank me later.

Geezus I feel sorry for you! Whoever invented black kitchen cupboards should be shot! I just got black matte and it’s finger print city- terribly high maintenance...
