Donald doesn't pay his security bills to the local venues, money which would be used to put more resources on the ground. Also a lot of USSS agents were in Milwaukee preparing for the convention, and the agents with him were OBVIOUSLY mostly not seasoned professionals. He also demands they be loyal to him, not just Republicans. That makes the pickings rather slim for assignments. Maybe Donnie should pay his bills, or just campaign from a safe basement.

I have read that Trump's regular detail was not there, and they were using temps from other locations who had not worked together before. They requested a sniper team, but it was not approved till the day before the event so the two sniper-team agents only had just the day before to go out and evaluate and plan. Some experts say you would want a couple days at least if not a week to be fully prepared. Also, for that venue, they should have had THREE sniper teams, but they only had the one anti-sniper team. Yes, you see all those people around Trump helping to get him safely to the vehicle, but of the people who were to watch for snipers and deal with them - these were requested and the approval for only ONE team was granted the day before. I have read that Jill Biden had an event in the same geographic area and even though it was only 300 people and was indoors, agents had to be pulled to go to her event and Trump's event was short staffed. My first thought was - they could not be that stupid, how could they miss this. Why did they not have guys with rifles on EVERY rooftop. Yes, they should have. The woman who is head of Secret Service was previously head of global security for Pepsico. She does not have experiencing in preventing assassinations. Elon Musk in a tweet said her last job was guarding Cheetos. She is under Mayorkis, who has expressed that he is concerned this happened, and that this is unacceptable, so he's saying the right things, and this is all part of the Biden admin - and Biden was "very nice" in talking with Trump after the assassination attempt. A news report said that Trump has re-written his Thursday speech to be really unifying, and hopefully that is one thing that "both sides" might start doing more of, truly showing mutual respect and truly unifying rather then demonizing. Back to the shooting, yes, some people noticed the shooter nearly 30 minutes before the shooting. A local police officer had seen the shooter, took a photos and "called it in" yet nothing was done. A local police officer - not sure if it was the same one - had also called in that he had they guy in his sights and could neutralize him, BUT said he was told NOT to, permission denied. I have seen conflicting reports that it was either Secret Service who denied permission OR it was local police brass who denied permission - but then the moment the shooter opened fire, this local officer - so I read - is the one who took him out. And since he had not gotten permission I read he has been fired. Now, with so many things being told to this and that reporter, would be nice to see an actual official report, and i understand Congressional committees will also be doing some investigation. But here's another thought - a professional sniper interviewed by Glenn Beck said normally if you are doing anti-sniper work, you don't have to wait to have permission to shoot if necessary, but he said "i don't know what the rules of engagement are in Secret Service." So - with people coming together without adequate time to coordinate since the anti-sniper people were assigned at last minute practically, the day before - who knows how the communication was between local police and then also among the Secret Service people who were a group who had never worked together before and had little planning time. Another interesting thing is FBI has said shooter was a lone gunmen, but who set up the huge ladder and why did NO ONE think about that? Which led Glenn Beck's interviewee to say, "It had to be an inside job." I don't know though, seems like too little staff on hand, too little communication, lack of planning time - and what a tragic clown show. Still - the shooter had a tiny car, and a rifle to carry so who set up the ladder for him and why did no one think about that rooftop? The assignment process seems to have been part of the problem. Will be good to have more complete answers if we can get them. Government is not always forthcoming or truthful, so we will hope that good information becomes clear.

The ultimate question is, how in the world was that parking lot/building not secured? How was he able to climb up there with a rifle, completely uncontested when even bystanders pointed him out to local police/SS with no reseponse? And how on earth did the shooter even know that roof was unsecure to begin with?

I noticed when they tell the story the latest was the caption, says minute by minute and if you listen to it like I would my opinion when does guns first gun shot didn't you hear the few and then all the ones in the row at the end you don't hear no gunshots anymore after when you hear them picking him up and shoot her down because they had got him when you heard all them gunshots that was fast to me that did not take a long time responding responding to it to me it could have been like in Las Vegas, most on the stand would have been hit so I think the Secret Service for saving his life instead of one to fire that lady how did it take so long how could he have gotten over there, on their latest post they said if he would have turned his head if he wouldn't have been turning his head that's what saved his life if you look at the TV and it again at it again he had his head turned in his arm pointed at the church or whatever he had over there his face would have been facing the TV the front me to me it would have been a lot worse, or either that would have been all she wrote that's my opinion
