One question though...the Books unlock Engravings and Engravings are shared across all characters on your account on the same server...so why shouldn't I just use all the books and unlock everything thereby unlocking everything for all my characters?
Because they let you choose which ones you unlock first depending on your choice. So ideally you'd pick the ones for your *main* or the toons you're currently playing

@@bl568 Because there are limited amounts of these books from fixed rewards. So the ones that let you choose, you should be only picking the ones you need. When you get random books, by all means, learn them and sell the extras.

This is an extremely user unfriendly system. You get engraving recipes early on during leveling and the game expects you to know to save them all up? I used all of the few green ones I had on random abilities at lvl 30 thinking to unlock all of them eventually anyway. Have I just screwed my endgame progression?
I feel like this is the intention. Confuse players, they use the stuff wrong, and are stuck grinding to make up the difference. I really wish this game didnt have 400 different systems with half of them seemingly just fluff and the others being make or break for endgame.
@@Futuran123 I’m past lvl 50 and still get green books, blue books so no need to worry. Just start grinding ignite and reflux build. You also can buy the books @ the auction house

Even though, I've watch this before I reach the engraving quest, I still committed a mistake. I should have double check the engraving prices in the auction house and see which engraving was expensive thus more valuable to get first. Your account is given one time quest which will give you 5 class engraving book and 20 combat engraving of your choice. And I just used that free books into the ether drop which is only valued as 1 gold in the market!
I absolutely hate systems like this where they give you a ton of limited and extremely valuable class stuff like engravings and then never ever tell you how important they really are unless you are a veteran of Korean MMO game design. Either way, thank you for the video because engravings are still confusing as all hell lmao.
agreed. Its super frustrating. I opened a chest and selected all out attack for all of them. Didnt know i couldnt use them all and that i'd need to use blue rarity. Wish you could exchange them at an npc for another one of that same tier.

Maybe i heard you wrong on not getting other class engravings but yesterday I did get a demon blade engraving on my paladin as a reward from my first abyssal dungeon.
Yeah when we were in the PTR and RU clients, this wasn't the case. This was possibly part of the KR quality of life changes that are present in our version, so that was our mistake. We had both gotten our class engravings a few times now, but just today I got one for another class myself. Will pin a comment about this.
(Correction?) In abyssal dungeons you're able to get class engravings for other classes you're not playing. I got Gunslinger and Deadeye engravings on my Gunlancer.

Still confused over Imprints. Are these the only engravings that are in effect for the character? Or does all engravings work for you character? What effect does Imprints do on your character?
I have the same question. Like for example if I have grudge x6 unlocked on my dps, but now play my paladin will grudge be activated on my paladin too in the engravings window?
I have a theory but im not 100% its right or haven’t tested it much yet. I play gunslinger & i’ve been using The engraving Ether Predator. It basically says that at level 3 you get 0.5 attack & defense boost buff that stacks up to 30 times so if you do the math thats 15% boost to both stats if you can manage to get all 30 stacks of it (during abyssal dungeons when you manage to stay alive) The buff stays on and resets actually last a really long time like over a minute and it stays on as long as you keep attacking the boss to get the stacks for it and it goes away only if you die. I was thinking it was a slept on choice for engraving because its not as risky to use as the Grudging engraving because you dont take that 20% incoming damage at high ilvls for later on. I would like to know yall thoughts on this
How does explosive expert work? I read it as the ability to use two or more slots, in the combat/support slots, for grenades, but that is not the case.

There are trade skills, runes, engravings etc and you can't use them from the beginning. It would be great when talking about them to include how you enable all this stuff.

You only can have two passives equipped on any character. That being said, the combat engravings are roster wide, so alts can take advantage of ones you've already learned.

What happens if I open 20 more chests of the same engravings (awakening) did i then waste it or does it make it have 6 power nodes? Please help, ty!

10 books allows you to have x3 nodes... Moving that 10 book skill to your char slot twice, gives you +6 node. Instant level 1

Confused. Are facet stones equippable? Are only the 2 engraved pendant slots your active engravings along with jewelry?
