Sam here...Sorry, folks!! I misspoke during the review in that it takes 3 prestige tokens per type to win, not just two.

To those that think that the game is too lucky: this is what makes the game tactical. The fact is the game doesn't give the player much control over what happens, but this makes the little control that the players do have all the more impactful. You may feel that you lost to an unlucky dice roll, but ultimately, you're the one that put your board into that position in the first place.

How often would you get into a loop where player A swaps e.g. cards 4 and 7 to give them the advantage, then player B swaps the same cards (4 and 7) on their side to compensate i.e. revert to the previous state? Then player swaps 4 and 7 again etc. so you're not really getting anywhere because player A leads, and B must follow to keep up.

Because of the die roll element, I would say very rarely.

1 play so far and we've enjoyed it. We got the anime version bc my kids are into anime but I agree with Sam, the characters are less varied than the diesel punk edition.

Isn't this game completely RNG dependent? Yes, you have the option of choosing which token to take with some cards, and to move the cards you need around, but it's all decided with a dice roll which you can't mess with in any way. It feels like the right choice is very obvious, like moving the Princess away from the Assassin of the Sniper, or taking the red token instead of the blue if you already have 2 blue. It feels very meh to me.

It feels that your statement is very contradictory. First, you mention the heavy RNG, which is valid, as it is a game of luck mitigation and push your luck with how you arrange your characters. But then you say that it feels very easy to make a straightforward choice. This I very much don't understand, as the luck element makes it very hard to predict what will happen and what will, in fact, be the obvious move. Its low strategy, but the game is intensely tactical. I understand the impression you have, but it is not suitably founded in anything tangible.

Why are Sam's videos always so pixelated? Compare them to Tom's or Zee's. It's filmed in the same room, isn't it the same camera?

Century - Two great looks so it's hard to choose.
Long Live the Queen - Two looks that are not that appealing at all so it's hard to choose.

I much prefer the anime version.
