You are correct about the trunk hatch release button. You need to piggy-back a second spring, and it will pop right up.

Nice 👍 car Nick, had a 98 and it was a good car, very fast. But don't ever run them out of gas. It's not fun replacing the fuel pump in the tank. LS is a great engine. Winner for Maple motors, quick sell.
I had a 98 for 10
Years and put a hard 240,000 on it before a piston ring went bad. Replaced the engine and sold it 6 years ago. I really regret that now.
I'm a Chevrolet fan, but I really wanted to get to know the Pontiac brands up close... one day we will✌🏻🇺🇸🇧🇷

Had a pewter 99 6-speed. Loved that car. Paid $18k for it in 2001. Never gave me a problem. Whoever gets this car will be lucky.
Check engine light is probably from aftermarket exhaust and headers

I have a 1999 trans am this exact same color with carbon fiber hood and big block with cam in it. Clean title and only asking $10,500. Everything under the hood is brand new even the hoses.

@@Dat1214 Vettes are overrated, not much better performance wise, and very impractical. They are alright at best if you ask me and you see them everywhere.
@@Dat1214 as for more modern performance I’d take a Cadillac CTSV or CT5V over a vette and not spend nearly as much.
