I agree, I am becoming very, very selective when it comes to purchasing fragrances. Therefore, I do not even mind purchasing one expensive fragrance now if I absolutely love it, because it is still cheaper than buying 5 I just like. What I need to declutter are my samples and decants, those are piling up. Thank you for the video!

Miel Extase was one of my best purchases of 2023!! 🎉Love the honey note and luckily no Amberwood in it which I don't get on with in most Navitus frags 😑. Great vid, thanks a Emy Xx

Hello, I found your channel recently and enjoy your measured take on fragrances. I agree with you wholeheartedly about Ani X being superior to the original. I loved the original, but it read masculine on me. The X version is far more palatable! I am on a no-buy until December (went way overboard last year), so I live vicariously through content creators. Great haul!

I’m intrigued by Moonlight, it sounds like a fragrance I would definitely enjoy🤔🤔. Qhawa was a blind buy success for me too and your description is exactly what I get from it😍😍. Also love Oud Satin Mood, I’m happy with my travel size for now cos it’s quite potent💣💣. My recent purchases are Andalusian Soul, Qhawa, Reflet du La’Okavango and Brazilian Crush Cheirosa 40 body spray.😍😍. I’m also planning on sampling more and buying far less this year😉😉. Always appreciate your honesty and transparency🙏🙏. Stay gorgeous 🥰🥰

I stopped buying fragrances last summer for the sake of space and my wallet. Now my hubby buys them for occasions such as my birthday and Christmas. I'm going through all my 200+ bottles to declutter as I have a great many that are never worn. I'm only going to keep what I love, such as my #1 favourite, Loubirouge. Sorry to hear of your experience with Scents of Wood. I'd declutter my Plum in Cognac too.

I had two biggest fail last year of blind buy; amyris (pistachio) and sphinx fragrance. Sphinx has terrible costumer service, I have to warn you guys esp. If you are ordering from EU.
My biggest surprise was Qahwa which became one of my top 5 quickly and some of Zara fragrances (9.95€ for 30 ml). Thanks to those I learned that you do not need to spend fortune to smell nice❤❤

Well I guess if you are from US its not so risky.
Creme De Pistache - I could not smell any pistachio, there is some weird scratching smell perhaps musk? But I just smelled it from cap so I don’t know how it performs but based on that I would not spray it on my skin.
As I said, most disappointing was costumer service. They promised in the beginning to help me with costumer service in EU (taxes for perfume are high, can go up 40€), they did not help and sent me very rude emails. Every time they reply they are more and more rude e.g when I asked if they received the packages because USPS says they tried to deliver without success , Sphinx sent me email “send me tracking number” no hello, goodbye , sir , madame.. so I hope I will be refunded some money and stay out of Sphinx for rest of my life

I recently bought fleur narcotic extract but it has not impacted me as I expected, however I plan to give it more opportunities because it is very expensive

I'm glad you brought up Scent of Wood. I've been struggling with them all year. I purchased their subscription and it's been a miserable experience. They charge for the month and then rarely send the perfume vial/candle. I have to consistently contact them and demand/beg to get what I've paid for, sometime multiple times, and they never make contact to apologize for their horrendous service. This happens over and over and over again. Their perfumes are lovely, but I'm so soured on the experience I can barely stand it. I just want it to end at this point.

My problems with them were based on a subscription as well. Sorry to hear that you are having issues as well
@@EmysWorldofFragrance I'm on my last mailing and they won't send it. I've emailed three times and they are ignoring me. I now have to go to PayPal and dispute the charge. I'm at my wits end with this company.

There are differences between them
Had car troubles during Christmas & had to max out my credit card to cover repairs, but the 2 Navitos in this video are next on my try list. I was shocked to hear about Scent of woods, though I bought mine from lucky scent, so I've never dealt with the house itself. It sounds like you developed a bad "scent memory " with the fragrance which is why you can't wear it. I respect your decision, though. Life is to short to waste time dealing with people that want to rain ill will down on us like storm clouds 🌈

I wont be purchasing from Scent of Wood anymore. Sorry you had a bad experience. We all have to have our boundaries and its a small list but I just wont purchase from certain brands.
I have imperial wood from panadora and its quite good but does lean masculine. I wanna try that Moonlight. I saw them at Esxence last year and hopefully they will be there this year so I can smell that one
