It’s been a while since you guys have seen the custom BBR Motorsports perimeter framed KLX140 in action! This is a fully hand made aluminum perimeter frame, subframe, air box, tank, swing arm, and much more that my dad Duane Brown worked his magic with to create. This thing pretty much just started out as an engine with a few parts sitting on the ground, and he created a whole bike around it from scratch. The bike is fitted with CRF150R Showa A-Kit forks and shock. The frame was also custom made to fit the plastics and seat off of a KX100/112. The wheel size is a 19-inch front, and 16-inch rear wheel. The same size as a supermini. People ask all the time why we don’t use a different water cooled engine instead of an air cooled one for some of these projects. For the 150 sized pit bike classes the bike has to be air-cooled, and these things are extremely fun on tight tracks with friends! 100% fun 100% of the time. We just got this thing freshened up with some Backyard Design graphics, Guts Racing seat cover, Dunlop tires, Renthal bars/grips/chain, Maxima oil and MotoSport goods. Who on here has been following long enough to remember what year that this build was finished up? Riding video up next 🔥
Regardless of when, your pops is a damn magician of a technician. The stuff that man creates makes you wonder where in hell the big 4s engineers have been. Need to hire Mr. Brown Sr.
I remember how badass the BBR perimeter framed 50's were, and xr100s. This thing is absolutely gorgeous. I can only imagine how fun it is to rip around on.
4 stroke’s sounds like a half dead “rat”! How can it be fun to drive these half dead engines? I compare to two strokes of course… I have 5 pieces 2 stroke bikes, all Suzuki RM models and they sound all angry and ready to rumble. How on earth can it be exiting to drive these 4 strokes? I better buy a Yamaha YZ250 and put on a 500cc big bore kit instead of waste money on a 450cc 4 stroke motocross bike that sounds like a half dead horse with tummy tumour. It’s sad to my heart that motocross producers stopped make 500cc 2 strokes. But great that there is tuning companies who offer 500cc kits to many of the 250cc 2 strokes. I can’t wait to get such a 2 stroke bike that can be upgraded to 500cc.
