My husband was a little harder to convince but now saw the effects of getting control of our spending and budgeting. Now we are a month ahead on bills and working on debt payoff. I want to thank you because your freebies are the first challenges I started. I didn't want to spend a bunch of money to save and 2sisterbees made it easy to start my journey to financial freedom! ❤
I have just started my no spend challenge, it's been scary coz I don't trust myself to not spend It's like fasting, when I say I will fast that's when all the hunger just comes into my belly😂😂😂
I jumped right in with 30 days when I started doing the no spend challenge in March after watching one of your videos. I do $1 for every day I don't spend. I average out to about $14 each month with a goal to go higher each month.❤
Starting the habit of no spending and saving is scary to some people because they're not used to doing it. Self-discipline is required to establish new habits but it doesn't necessarily have to mean deprivation. Establishing specific financial goals first is important in changing how we handle our financial life. Since January of this year, I've averaged 14 no-spend days per month, but I don't feel deprived. I am debt free fortunately, so that really helps in saving more. It can be done. People have to believe that they can.
The veggie pizza was a new one for me !! Thank you ! And a tip that I do is when I bring home fresh veggies, I go ahead and wash, chop/ slice, and make them super easy to grab ! I have two toddlers and it makes it so much easier and we actually eat them before they go bad because it’s convenient!! Thank you !
I'm on fixed income and because of you and a few other channels I paid off 3000 dollars of debt and have have a emergency fund now and some put in my envelopes I hate debt!! And it's hard with only 1 check a month because it has to last !!! I do it immediately as soon as my check hits lol
My family and I had horrible spending habits. (we still do,) We are a working progress. We have never done a no spend challenge before, so we started with No spend week. My husband and I managed a week with ease (to our surprise) However, our eldest child 5 (has complex care needs and found the changes very challenging.) But with time our family will adapt to all necessary changes. We have now decided that this November, we are challenging ourselves to a no spend month.
Great tips....i find i am more inspired if i write "No Spend #1", "No Spend #2", etc on my monthly calendar in my planner....i challenge myself to go just one more day each month...19 is my highest so far...now it's become a fun game to me. I also did "Shelftember" to use up my grocery stash and keep me out of the store.
Thanks for the great video! Gonna start the no spend challenge this November and December cuz I have a very big important spend this November and want save money so that I can easily replace it. My only exceptions are transportation and food.
I’m start starting out just got a binder sort of set it up im going to do a 30 challenge and will add a money value to it so if I want to spend I have to save the moneyI know I have to go out to lunch tomorrow with my group and it will be a budget thing as I go out few times a month with this group
That’s so awesome! I wish I could be better about coupons - I am actually trying right now for the first time! I haven’t used any yet- cause I haven’t been grocery shopping but I have downloaded apps and clipped some. I also want to pick up Sunday paper
Thank you! ❤ would love to print those out i am the type of as long as i see i will keep doing lol well on some stuff....you and sister have great idea ❤❤❤❤
Wow! That’s truly amazing! I hate to blame someone else BUT I honestly think if it were just me- I would never eat out. Jason does love his take out. I have curbed it A LOT but he still wins sometimes 🤣
Hello beautiful! I love your videos so much! You are so valuable to our community! Thank you for all you do to help us all budget and save money! I tend to overspend on hobbies and Goodwill. This video is jam packed with such good information! You are such an inspiration! Yes! When there’s an Oopsie just keep going!! Yes, don’t $10 and $20 yourself! Yes! Develop habits! Haha! Debt frickn FREE! 💥💥💥🎉🙌 Great video! I will commit to the end of October! Thank you Jenn! 🎉🤗
Thank you so much for your comment! 💛💛💛 Made my day! I know - you’re like me with the thrift stores! That’s a weak spot for me, too! 😅 Debt frickin’ FREE is right!! Hahahahaaaa🤣🤣🤣
As always a great video Jen. Over the last 2 years I have done a No Spend a few times to put the money into a new bed. This week we researched 3 different types of companies, changed the original. We ended up spending less on the bed, got a new recliner & 2 free pillows only $200 more than what I planned, but had. What a great feeling to feel in control. I was gonna wait until January but you've motivated me to do it again and this time put the extra money into paying off a medical bill sooner. Thanks ❤❤
Ah scheduled spends. Yep I like it. I leave stuff in my cards for ages. Sinking fund cash stuffing I think for birthdays, beauty etc. Great tips as always!
Hi Jenn. I am 18 days into my 30 day no spend challenge. I have made my own rules, if I didn't budget it, I don't buy it. Which has been amazingly easy for me (I'm shocked). However, there is a sweater at Fred Meyer's that I want but 1. it's not in my budget and 2. it's 42.00 fricken dollars. So, it sits there mocking me. lol Oh, btw I haven't spent anything yet, and I'm doing a dollar a day. Have a great rest of your day.
That’s great!! Your doing awesome! I know that’s hard to tell yourself no - but after a while- it really does get easier. I’ve started to look at items as “junk” 🤣 It’s allllll junk! Hahaa
Tell somebody on your Christmas list you want it and have them buy it for you as a present. I sometimes put extra money per day in a No Spend or my Self Care challenges & if is still there after I'm done I might buy it .By then its been marked down or gone & I survived😊😊😊
The no spend has always been a challenge for me but I’m committing to a 30 no spend starting November 1st I’m going to make it so I only spend when it’s budgeted Thankyou for the inspiration ❤
Thank you so much for this video. I always wondered how to do the "no spend" challenges and I keep seeing everyone doing it. I tried it once and because I felt I didn't fully understand, I didn't stick with it because I had bill, gas and groceries to get. Glad to hear that I don't have to include those! I am definitely going to give this another try. Thank you again!!
I am naming November, No Spend November! There are a couple things that I already budgeted the money for. My biggest problems are Dunkin, Amazon, and Coach Outlet! Thank you for the great tips!
I like the name No Spending November. Even though we're going into the next 2 months which can be very I've already budgeted for Thanksgiving and Christmas so I'm gonna try build up my 3-6 month ahead with a no spend & add extra $ in. Good luck we can do it😊
You are so correct. My phone is my enemy 🤣. Etsy and Amazon haunt me. It’s the only problem I have. I started a no spend this month and spent on a few days. I need to stop and this is it! 💜💜💜
Yes! Another comment said how she just challenges herself to “one more day” and I love that! Do one day …. And then say- just one more. It will become addicting! 🙌
Love it! I don't struggle with Amazon thankfully. But I do like to save some purchase thoughts there. Instead of adding to cart, I use the list option. I have several different ones because you make your titles. You can even share if someone asks. I have a planner one, car items, things to check into, etc.
I try to have 1 to 2 no spend days a week. I continue to put in $20 a week for savings challenges. I must remember to look and write what i need down bc that is another way i overspend. When i grocery shop that definitely helps with no spend. I have decided for every savings challenge i finish i will put it towards debt.
Thank you SO MUCH for this video!! My biggest problem is eating out because I doordash for a living and buying on Etsy after watching savings challenge videos. 😅
You’ll see a difference- even if you aren’t a big spender. I spend very little now on “items” and I see a difference when I really buckle myself down to a No Spend.
Great video, Jenn! The beginning of your video totally hit home. My money is always gone immediately after getting it. I’m working on getting my budget straightened out and am committing to starting with a no spend weekend.
Such great timing! I just decided this morning to do No Buy November! 😂 Quick question: Do you add the money you "saved" during the no/low buy to a particular savings? Or do you roll it over? 🤔 I spent 2 months tracking my spending & realized I have an issue with eating out more due to stress & when I skip planning my meals. This November, I'm really going to challenge myself not to eat out & to get back on my meal planning schedule (outside of Thanksgiving day)😊
Money that is not spent - is just rolled over. It’s money tha just stays with me instead of fluttering away. I would say eating out is a tough one for most. You’ll get better at it- keep going! 💛💛💛
First, thank you for the great videos, I have recently started cash stuffing and am excited about this journey. I am also working on the No Spend challenge but was wondering if paying a bill that is past dues is considered spending. However, as usual watching your video has cleared up my questions. Thanks
