I thought it sounded familiar. I've listened to it a few times. I have another one for you to check out from them it's called Temporary Lovers. It's been on repeat past couple of days.
I liked this cover. Not as much as the original as it is iconic, but they did good. I feel like the vocals needed a little more punch to send it over the top. I’m a big fan of 80s music so if something gets a remix or covered I’m down for it! Synth and 80s is just correct.
I bet you hope that the song is not so good that it distracts you during driving, and the cop looks at you, and you have that ashamed smile on your face
I’ll be honest… not a fan of this cover. Sure from a technical perspective it’s well produced. But the upbeat/double time feel of this cover goes completely against the sadness of the lyrics and it just doesn’t fit IMHO. I’d much rather listen to Red’s cover… it’s not synthwave but it’s still a great cover!
If the lead singer in Duran Duran was as young as Bono (starting out in U2) when they did this one, that's what it would sound like
