Who else came because they had a frame of a clip between the two clips? Edit: You did a good job. Do not bother your friends or someone you know when you can always google thr answer
@@MissionFailed2 Ah sorry , my comment is more than 4 years old lol. Haven't used Openshot in a long time, but I don't like hearing that issues like this still happen to people
Perfect, just what I was looking for. I kept having issues with the transition fading to black before "popping" up with the next clip. In my case I just had to "reverse transition" and that seemed to sort it. Thanks!
Thanks heaps. I had been trying to do it by having the transition across both clips and it always went black for awhile. Now I know to only have it covering the first clip. I have subscribed to your channel as I like that you explain things slowly and thoroughly. Much appreciated.
God bless you ten times over 🥰! I've been fighting with my transitions for nearly half the day 😖🥲😭. I saw other videos but they didn't break it down like this so I was still confused and could not get it to work! Thank you so much you're life saver 💛 😊
That's a very informative video. I have been struggling to add transitions to my videos now you have made it so easy by sharing this video. Thanks a ton!!😀
Damn great tutorial, cheers indeed from across the pond. I'm honestly impressed with how awesome but simple OpenShot is. I've been using it the past few days and have made 4 videos with it so far. I downloaded VSDC this morning and unlocked the Pro version, I spent hours just trying to learn basic editing steps that took seconds in to learn in OS, so I switched back after one project! Now granted, neither one of these are Premiere Pro, but Open Shot holds it's on.
Thank you so much!! My laptop keeps crashing so I've had to switch from Adobe Elements to OneShot which seems to be preforming heaps better on the laptop. You've made transitions easy for me mate. Much appreciated!!!!
Sir... THIS is the only video I found that learn to use transition in openshot!!!! Thanks really a lot, I spent a lot of hours with trials and errors .... damn... thanks again!!
I've given up on OpenShot due to its frequent new bugs, its fragility in use, and its limited basic editing tools. I tried many video editors. Of the ones that could run on a small Windows 11 laptop, only two were clearly better: ClipChamp, which comes with Windows 11 only, and cannot store its projects locally, and Filmora 12, from Wondershare, which is said to run on Windows 10 too. Although I found 4 bugs in Filmora in my first two days of learning it, and they don't seem to fix bugs, the bugs are all minor, so it is still way better than OpenShot, and I am looking forward to its ease of use in a big project. I feel bad for the OpenShot developers, who have worked hard on it through the years, but I am really happy to have found Filmora. It comes with a small price tag, and you can get discounts from some of the outside tutorials.
I did this very thing two days ago and worked perfectly. Today it’s whole different story. It starts the new clipped video then transitions back to the end of the first video then flashes to new video in progress. I don’t get it. Wasted 8 hours today and each time with same results.
I was getting a black screen at the beginning of the transition and couldn't for the life of find out why it was doing this. Your video was very helpful in my getting the task right, thanks
I don't know if this is still usefull to you but what you need to do is overlap the end of the first clip, the transition and the beggining of the second clip.
if you can aid. I have for example 5 minutes video. Cutted it into 3 parts of 20 sec. Then I need to Slow all these three parts! "Time -> slow -> forward - > 1/8" - and after I export the video, that video messed up, sometimes no video (black screen) or the other parts of the original uncut version merged into modified three 20 seconds parts .... thanks
But if I overlap two clips and apply a transition, I get the end of the audio of one clip overlapping with the beginning of the audio of the second clip. Hmm. I can't figure this out.
My transitions turn black then start the transition, how do I fix this? Like it gets ready to move to the next frame "jumps" straight to a black screen then does the transition.
i want to make an youtube channel.so i have downloaded a video from pexels and i tried to make a 10 hours video out of it by using openshot ,but when i try to make a 2 hours video and riches at 90 % it fails .why doesn't work?thanks
eh, I don't get it. Your first transition worked, and your second one was why I'm here... why is it broken? When it works, the white and black represent the alpha... when you actually see white and black it's broken and ugly....???
Who else came because they had a frame of a clip between the two clips?

Me! I have been doing the box dragging wrong, haha... 😅
So how did you fix it? I'm doing what the guy in the video is doing and still getting a frame of the first clip in the middle of transition
@@MissionFailed2 Ah sorry , my comment is more than 4 years old lol. Haven't used Openshot in a long time, but I don't like hearing that issues like this still happen to people
thank you, I was missing the (now obvious) overlapping part of the trick

Thanks! I Had (As Did Many Others I See) A Black Frame Between The Two Because I Didnt Know To Overlap The Two Video Clips
Thank you for your explication, it's very clear and it help me a lot.

I don't know if this is still usefull to you but what you need to do is overlap the end of the first clip, the transition and the beggining of the second clip.
Thanks for a brilliant video.

How do I add effects across all clips? In OpenShot...
This Really Does Help, Thanks.
thank you
Hi, when I did this, the transaction would have a black part first then the pattern. Is where a way to fixed it?
Imagine getting a HEART from him..
Thanks for your explanation :))
Thank you!
thanks
I did this and it turns the clip black then fades in... how do I set it to fade out to black?
It would come in my exams

I had the same problem today. I fixed it by "reverting" the transition and it's back to normal. Just do not know why I need to do so.
My transitions turn black then start the transition, how do I fix this? Like it gets ready to move to the next frame "jumps" straight to a black screen then does the transition.
That's happening to me too, I'm using still pictures and I'm wondering if that's why
the only thing I don't like is the black in the transition, if instead of the black, show the next video will be perfect
i want to make an youtube channel.so i have downloaded a video from pexels and i tried to make a 10 hours video out of it by using openshot ,but when i try to make a 2 hours video and riches at 90 % it fails .why doesn't work?thanks
The problem I have with this is that the audio carries over, do you know a solution?
Gud video
I know this tutorial is 4 yrs old.
But someone explain to me why the transition ALWAYS play in reverse. It's driving me mad!
eh, I don't get it. Your first transition worked, and your second one was why I'm here... why is it broken? When it works, the white and black represent the alpha... when you actually see white and black it's broken and ugly....???
can the transitions be used for pictures/stills
I liked the Steam engines
I'm looking for a transition where one image fades into another image without extra effects.

My menu looks nothing like yours. When I click on View, I have tons of options and none of them say "Advanced"

@@enzooliveria8696 Or a different version - the video is over a year old. But, the ideas he presents should still work.
