How to make a box (and whiskers) plot from a five point summary. Also looks at classifying outliers and marking them on the plot. Video 1: • Five Number/Figure Sum...
It is possible to solve the question, what is the median, and what is the number that represents the lower quartile and the upper quartile in the question:34,35,36,38,40,42,42,43,45,50,55,65
Copy paste the following text into youtube and you'll find a great video explaining the outlier challenge some of you have: Finding Outliers & Modified Boxplots 1.5(IQR) Rule. It's a video by the channel named MATHRoberg
Hey. Thanks a lot for the video. It is very helpful. I nevertheless have a question. As I understood: the outlier is regarded as an error and therefore not shown as the highest value. However, its influence on Q1, Q2 and Q3 are still present, right? If we really threw it out, we would calculate a whole different box and whiskers plot. Shouldn't we be using such a new one?
Nice video, which help me about how to understand the no-normal value in box plot
Thank you this helped me a lot, keep going
thank you for helping me i was struggling in middle school
Very helpful 😍
Great great video very helpful
Muito Obrigado !
Great video 👍🏼

What if the Outliers include Q1 as well? Do I push Q1 to the next number that's not an outlier?
That won't happen unless Q3=Q1 according to the formula

That's what I thought, too... I've been searching on Google about this for a while. Did you figure it out?
Ida Fan nope
@@CaliforniumTV well then.
The answer is no, only the figure style changes... see ruclips.net/video/tpToLyZibKM/видео.html
wouldnt you be stuck in a loop if you did that?
Removing those would give you a new IQR, i.e. more exceptions to remove, i.e. a new IQR
is Q1 not 15? Please explain.
I think it’s because you’re not supposed to include the median in the lower and upper half. Not 100% sure though…
what made you use 9 as a number to start the number line ... i don't know what number to use start the graph
9 is the highest data
Box and whiskers plot is what it’s called
