  • Being able to balance a plane is important, is not always easy with a flying wing. This video shows how I balance King Kombat a fantastic 40" flying wing. This wing when set up correctly is fast and manuverable, yet also flies very slowly and glide lands with no nasty tip stall habits, it really is fun to fly!
King Kombat was designed by Chuck Salkowski and origonally published in July 1979 RCM Magazine. I downloaded the plans from the OuterZone website. A link to the plans is provided below.

Nice, good tip. Ive got a Kaos combat wing kit in my closet that Im starting to get the urge to build this winter. Will definitely be giving this a try for that model.

Hello Mark! I continously enjoy your videos, I can immagine how much work it is to build the planes, while you film it and later cut and upload it. Thanks. I have question too, when a model plane has a nitro or gas engine how do you take into account the weight of the fuel when setting the CG point? I usually fill the fueltank halfway.

Thank you for such a kind comment, it's really appreciated. You always balance an IC plane with the tank empty, as it is much easier to fly if a little nose heavy at the start, than the alternative which would be tail heavy when landing
