Captain Kleeman: “I heard it…I heard it when I said it.” IYKYK. I had a handful of responses all lined up but after your response (and me laughing out loud), figured it best to leave a good thing stand on its merits.
One of the reason this is my absolute favorite channel is your style of humor and all around attitude
"Oh man, I wish my holes looked this nice. I heard it, I heard it when I said it!" 😅🤣😂 The old foot in the orifice trick, brouhaha ha. You crack me up Mike. Love your banter every vidja. Thanks for bringing us along. John here, from the back-roads of Northeastern Tennessee.
Here for the obligatory, THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID!
😂😂🤣🤣
SO happy to see your beautiful backhoe living her best life with gusto and happiness!!
She is happy for sure!
That 555 is definitely earning its keep, excellent as always Mike 👍👍🇺🇸🇬🇧
Mike, leave some dirt in the bucket of the 555 so that you have weight to hold the front end down to steer better when traveling.
Horse Shoe! It’s been your lucky day. Can’t wait to see more!
💪
Maybe an aquascape would be an alternative. Bama Bass channel is bldg. a second one. Pretty sweet.
Great lighthearted commentary! I like the diversity of your projects. The best RUclips entertainment in the greater Derby area.
The adventures of Captain Kleeman. Glad im along for the ride. The old steel in the 555 is heavy. Maybe somebody can donate some 1 plate to weld on the lift arms or maybe some fluid for the front tires. Lol
Just a thought, but maybe chain a log or something heavy to the front bucket so its easier to turn. Then just unchain it when you need the bucket. That would be better then to fight it trying to turn. Great video Captain! Gary sounds like a very awesome guy and one great neighbor!
Hope your holes turn towards a great pond. As always thanks for sharing.
A Squirrel moment right at the end huh Mike ? 😂
A horse shoe would distract anyone lol
Dig you a moat around the boat so it looks like it's setting in water.
It's not a moat, it's a wraparound koi pond.
Nice four point turn. :) Thank you.
Well I did it Kleeman, I bought the backhoe. Got a '00 JCB 212S little smaller than yours, but has 4x4 and 4 wheel steering. Keep on man.
Hey that's awesome! Good luck with it
Pond off the bow is gonna be a cool effect, make you feel like your actually on the water
you love your videos so much you post em twice.😀
Capt'n, before you get too excited about the dam for the "You Tube Yacht", I would check with your insurance agent on insurance costs with and without the pond. That will be the deciding factor in determining your rental cost and would it be competitive enough to attract renters.
That is my two bits of advice.
Honestly I don't think you need a pond there i think it would be a hazard they aren't coming for a pond there coming for the experience of a boat in gorgeous woods that's all you need and the views would be amazing cheers Jill Australia 🇦🇺🐨
I thought I was getting caught up on the test holes but I was already caught up, oh well I’ll wait till Thursday, rerun was pretty good anyway
I miss my small town. Growing up it was 8,000 people. You didn't know everyone, but you knew most. Mom baked cookies for the mailman - his wife baked sweets for the kids. That town is now over 60k in population and is nothing like it used to be.
Both ponds look like they will be a blast. 😅😊
💪
Thanks for sharing, great location for a pond, hopefully the ground agrees. Wishing you and your family the best.
20:53 mark. BWAhahahahaaaaaaa!!!
Hey Captain throttle that motor up when digging your gonna burn up that pump WFO is what i was taught lol love yer video's 😊😊
A little bit more expensive, but you can always use a liner
Captain K the clay Hunter good job !
Hi The Captain he built him a boat, Not intending it ever would float, But this artful endeavour was really quite clever, As income he hoped he’d promote. All the best. 👍🌞🐝
💪
Said it before, probably say over and over again, but, the triple nickel is just a remarkable machine for what you started out with, just never ceases to amaze me at how handy and versatile it has become for your operation. Pond is going to be sweet if you can get it to work out, thanks for the update sir.
Agreed, the 555 has had a long history of being the "go to" piece of equipment before the advent of the skid steers and mini excavators. Even today, it still remains a valuable workhorse without having to mortgage everything you have. Most folks would see equipment rental as being the least headache and they are correct. For Mike's project requirements, schedule, and time, the 555 was a great acquisition. There is nothing worse than knowing that several hours of rental time can be consumed by going to get and return the equipment when there is not a local Dirt Perfect in your back yard. Making the best of what you have is a high art form. Mike is a master.
Hole envy ???? 🤔
First time I have heard you utter those words 😂😂
Comparing substrates is an age old game of chance.... it appears that Gary may have won this round 😂
I must say, even though your yacht is not complete, it does blend in well.......
And with the Admiral's blessing, there will be a pond to complement it !!! 😁
Gary definitely has the upper hand on the clay front
Well Sir I have not laughed so hard at such an innocent comment in a long while, at 20:53 so glad you didn't edit it out. Great job thus far on the project.
That’s what I was going to say. Gary has it, if you need it, take a wheelbarrow down thar in the middle of the night when it quiet and get all you need. Now that’s a good idea right, hahahaha
Hello Mike. It's good that you found good material for the ponds. Perhaps your neighbor will let you have what you need in exchange for doing the work on his property. You've built ponds before so this should be an easy, but time consuming, job. Have good days!
Finally, a little quick work with a wrench and the levers are fixed!🤗
Fun video! Thanks, Mike! Lee
Thanks lee!
May the pond gods smile on you in your search for clay in your holes!!! :) Great update! Thumbs up! Stay safe. Jim
Thanks Jim
Watched this video again. This was released last Monday. Still a very good video! 👍 😊
yes it was but it was also taken down for some reason i don't know only i was going to watch it and by time i turned on it was down only now back yo who knows but this guy has a good nature and skill set which i like to watch Cheers
Again with a posting at 5:55. I love it!
The fueling station next to DP's yard, is that maintained by him or is that someone else's business?
No doubt you'll make arrangements to snag some of Gary's red clay for your pond because we all know the sweat equity you will put in to helping Gary will more than offset the $ cost of buying it from him.
Looking forward to seeing the completion of both ponds.
Greg
Can't wait to watch that build. a pond around the yacht would be perfect.👍👍
Would be cool!
Hoping you can find some (PERFECT DIRT) for your pond project. great video captain.
It looks like that old tripple nickle is making your life so much more productive and fun.
Definitely
There is a JD dozer with a ripper in the neighborhood that should be able to help😂 Thank you for all the great content. Going to use your test hole technique in the spring to look for a pond site on my property
👍🏻👍🏻because one is never enough 🤛🏻🤛🏻
That quick change you put on the 555 my ade it perfect for your personal use
One thing that worked for me was a tooth bar for the front bucket. Turns an average front loader into a monster.
Would definitely be a game changer
Just an idea, kinda like you said. See IF you can maybe get the neighbor to let you do a "borrow pit" & then fill it in with your no good stuff.
Awesome 😎
Contingency option. My new band Name!
🤣
great video Mike,i am sure i saw it last week but when it came time to give you a thumbs up and comment the video had disappeared happy you posted it again, hope the pond works out i will enjoy watching you build it 👏👏👏👏👏👌👌👌👌👌👍👍👍👍👍
Ah, scheduling stuff with technology, don't that beat all? I thought I'd gotten past all that when the VHS VCRs went out of style. (Probably before your time, but I never sucessfully scheduled and recorded a two-part episode of anything.) And yes, I watched it twice, because if it adds to your watch-minutes, why not?
Thanks!
I would love to see you build some custom log cabins And make them air BNB's and make 1 for your house I would I would love to see you looked it up and see what you think about them
Good job captain you are a hardworking man I hope your pond’s good well.
Thanks!
I was thinking you might be able trade some work to Gary for his excess clay !
Great video thanks Mike
Thanks for watching
I am so glad you have the 555 and new hydraulic hoses🤪 It seem to fit your needs without going to extreams.
I think back how the 555 would have made your past projects easier on you.
I hope you keep improving and updating the 555 for without it this video would not have gone so well with a pick and shovel.
Keep up the good work and quality videos.
Maybe Santa will get you a new cutting edge for your bucket and do backhoes have rock teeth?
Maybe!
Hi. I think at 24:34 you missed the wave 👋 from him. The glove in the tree
Hello review in progress. Thank you for the opportunity to participate in this project.
Thanks for the video.
Appreciate ya watching
Be cool to see clint stop by for a visit in his lowboy
I have to smile when you are driving the 555, the front wheels spend more time in the air than a 747. 😂😂
Capt, your ambition knows no bounds. the Triple Nickel certainly get a work out when pond time comes. hopefully doesnt turn into BigDeal18's nightmare job - the animal hospital. amazing how ground conditions can drastically change literally withing feet
The only downside I see is a possible increase in your insurance premiums for the rental cabin due to the nearby proximity water hazard of having a pond right off the bow. (and before the comment crazies weigh in, yes I know that the river is just down the hill but that wouldn’t be considered a nearby proximity water hazard.) Just something to consider Captain. Stay safe.
I came here to say the very same thing. I looked at having a rental at a property I owned and I couldn’t afford to make any money due to the insurance rate quotes I got for business liability. My agent said “you know if you didn’t have the pond, it would be 1/4 the rate”. I would have to of charged almost 3 times the going rate in the area just to cover the insurance and it made it not economical.
Mike needs to ask his insurance provider before he goes any further! It’s all about realities, not what someone else thinks it should be. Hate to see he couldn’t afford the insurance after going this far
@@Manoffire260 exactly.
hahahaha another great video, 1st trip got concussion and black eye, 2nd trip got poked in the other eye. cannot wait for the next video on this project, but for sure will have a hard hat and safety goggles and please make your warning alittle quicker before we get smacked.
Not all is lost.Surely if a fella needed to he'd find a borrow pit somewhere close !!! 🤣👍
thats a nice strike of clay at your neighbors pond site hope you can maybe score some from him. yours will fit in real nice coming up to the boat for sure. veiwing it twice was fun to. lol. catch ya on the next one. cheers captain.
👍(Love your concept of a pond)
Thanks Jerry!
Captain you never cease to amaze me with your vision! Thanks for sharing! Kevin
Thanks Kevin
My favorite is when you say Its fine, everything is fine
Lol
That huge log you moved with the hoe could be carved into a bench for around the pond. I’m not sure what kind of wood it is but hey I was only thinking when I seen that big log. 😄👍
Keep up the great work.
Hi Mike. That 555 is such a handy machine to have around. It seems to just do whatever you ask it to. Hope you find enough clay. Seems that it should be at the same relative depth as where you already found some. I'm just guessing though. The pond should be a pretty neat feature for the YT yacht.
-mike
555 is definitely a handy tool
hello mike it's is randy and i like yours video is cool thanks mike friends randy
The captain will make your ground holey.....👍
Lol
Nice thanks for sharing
Might steer better if you put the backhoe boom in transport mode lol.
You run a Ford 555?
Perhaps you could just fill up Bubba Dump and 'borrow' some of that clay, there is so much there I don't think your neighbour is going to miss 30tons. 😂🤣 Yes sorry we do keep getting in the way we really should be more careful, that is certainly a nice location if indeed you can build a pond next to the Yatch . 👍
Why don't you try some of that tyre sealing liquid that Mike (Dirt Perfect) used on Bubba Dump and the Kenworth dump truck in the tyres of the 555. As it seams to have sealed Bubba Dumps tyres that had slow punctures in them. It will be less hassle then removing the tyre to fit new inner tubes.
I haven't been impressed with it.
nice job mate keep it coming i for one enjoy watching you struggle along and some times get it right Cheers most of the time get it right going to get costly if you have to cart the clay from the neighbors i see it's not far but distance time adds up to not a lot of loads on ground
I wish my dirt hose tested as nice.
For clay
Dirt sure can say a lot ha? But sure well be a beautiful little pond Mike! And we'll make that cabin shine!
💪
Great looking clay on the neighbors property.
Should work out nice!
I think we can all agree that ol Gary is being a bit possessive of all that clay. 😂😂
🤣
i like the opening unsaved mike looks good with a beard XD
Pretty sure I watched this same video yesterday
Lol Don’t sell yourself short there Captain. I’m sure that everyone who’s seen your holes think they are very impressive. Good luck on the pond build.
Lol
Dig the pond deeper than you want then go get clay at another site and dump it in the hole and spread it and pack it.
Yup
Deja vu
If your neighbour has “too much” clay dig his pond first and use some of his excess clay in your pond.
Enjoyed it
Getting exciting to see the progress! How close to Dirt perfect yard do you live? Seems pretty close.
Can’t be too far because he fueled Is there a tractor and Tank.
You're acting like you know how to operate that 555. It was a great investment for you. Keep up the good work.
Good little video,Mike.you do like challenges.think your vision is gonna make you work for it.neighbors property would be lot easier to build a pond ,with what you have found.just keep on thinking and doing what you do best.👍👍👍😎😎😎
What about a water feature instead of a pond?? Just a thought. 😊
Well problem solved, you have plenty of clay next door if you need it. One dump truck for you and two for me😂😂😂 Great times ahead!!👍🇺🇸
I can't get over the front-end floating issue! All those counterweights and the bucket should be plenty. It's almost as if some counterweights are missing!
Going to get your money's worth from 555.
You CAN make anywhere hold water, if you throw enough money into the hole.
Cheapest is the ground will just hold water.
Then small leak sealers like "Damit"
Then imported clay like Bentonite
Then geofabric liners.
Then... Concrete it like a big swimming pool...
My pond is going to need some of the "Damit" product, which seals small leaks effectively for about 5 years per application.
Very true!
Hey neighbor, this is Mike. After I build your dam and pond, can I come back on your property and create a clay borrow pit for my pond project? I'm a little short on clay and you have plenty! 😁😁😁
💪
Am I crazy or something I swear I seen this exact video the other day
yep. guess captain stil was a bit sleepy when he tried to upload a new one 🤣
Me too captain 😂
IDK if it's the case for this one, but I've heard youtube has been screwing up things with when scheduled videos are getting posted. The way they monetize videos/ad revenue can mean youtube creators miss out on revenue.
There was a “reel” on FB, and I think a “short” on YT. Is that what you are thinking of?
*saw. FFS
with that much clay there is probably enough for your core!!
What would set it apart also would be a catapult
Now there's an idea
