Train Ride From Göschenen to Andermatt in Swiss Alps

From Göschenen to Andermatt, cca 14 min, 7 km uphill train ride
Göschenen and its railway station are located at the northern end of the Gotthard Road Tunnel and Gotthard Rail Tunnel. The village grew up around a bridge over the Reuss. The Schöllenen Gorge in the Reuss Valley between Andermatt and Göschenen is the location of the infamous Devil's Bridge (Devil's Bridge is a term applied to dozens of ancient bridges, found primarily in Europe. Most of these bridges are stone or masonry arch bridges and represent a significant technological achievement in ancient architecture.). A very short 1,000 mm (3 ft 3+3⁄8 in) metre gauge railway line, the Schöllenenbahn, connects Göschenen railway station with Andermatt railway station, via the Schöllenen Gorge.
