  • One half of beauty and wellness empire, Jean Yip Group, Mervin Wee is a risk-taker when it comes to his bold wardrobe choices. But up close, he's a textbook extroverted introvert who prefers to express himself through fashion.

    I took up a basic hair dressing course with Jean Yip many years old and had the opportunities to interact with Melvin on many occasions, oh he is such a nice, gentle and friendly guy. He might be the boss of the salon, but shows no air in dealing with people, I have had such good impression of him. Cheers!

    I think CNA should feature also people of humble income but managed to live a fashionista life and also a fulfilled life.
    Its quite boring to feature people who.owns a chain of successful beauty, skincare and hair salons.
    Its not too difficult if you are a high net worth person to indulge and splurge on your passions, desires and idiosyncracies.
    The vast majority of people do not belong to that same income group.
    So, do the leg work and do feature people who lived a " belle epoque " life despite of life limitations.

    When will this programme stop especially when most of the people who watch CNA are ordinary Singaporeans? Shame on the media for subtly promoting class divides. these people aren’t really the richest people around to begin with I Guess that’s why they agree to such interviews.shallow of them to do so...one day when they lose everything they will be desperately clinging on to their silver spoons more than those who are less ostentatious

    • @OliviaChoong
      @OliviaChoong 3 года назад +1

      This is part of their Remarkable Living series, one of different types of programmes. CNA is watched around the world, not just by Singaporeans. When we watch TV shows by international broadcasters like NHK World or BBC, there are also programmes that feature expensive products and lifestyles which are not relatable to lower income groups but I don't think it's meant to make people feel bad about not being able to afford particular things. Unless the family got there by means of ill gotten gains, I can't see why we can't appreciate this man's zest for fashion or his personality, which this feature is about. Inclusivity also means that there are TV programmes featuring all walks of life.
