I just completed my hardcore save and I can tell you right now I miss the early game so much. After you get to a certain point, mainly after heading to the aurora (if you choose too) you’ll unlock the main vehicles and then EVERYTHING needs a blueprint so you’ll be hunting in wrecks for awhile. Cyclops Shield is the death of me every game.
I will advise you to not visit the front or back of the ship unless you are properly prepared to die. And you can scan everything. It will tell you how to acquire things and if it’s an ore outcrop (limestone/sandstone/shale) what can be found in them. I won’t spoil anything other than you should really look at the blueprints dividers. (Another thing is I don’t know if you record a bunch in one sitting or if we get updates as you play. If you’ve already made an abundance of progress then my words probably won’t matter.)

I have not made it there yet, but I can imagine it’s not going to be easy. Definitely going to build up more before I go. I appreciate the heads up!
