Adapted from a talk given by Dr. Marian Horvat, the foremost expert on Our Lady of Good Success in the English-speaking world, this is an illustrated presentation that explains the life and sufferings of Mother Mariana de Jesus Torres, and the prophecies that Our Lady of Good Success revealed to her. This is an apparition that has had constant Church approval for over four hundred years - every bishop of Quito since 1611 has given their approval to Our Lady of Good Success.
What were in these prophecies?
• The apostasy that would occur in the Church, shortly after the middle of the 20th-Century
• The corruption of the clergy and how many "depraved priests would scandalize the Christian people"
• The corruption of good Catholic customs
• The lack of virgin souls and the general flood of impurity in the 20th century

Thank God for the internet in the 20th and 21st century or I would never have heard of these apparitions and prophesies. No wonder our Mother kept this secret until now. She knows what she's doing. I also truly believe that this information will only reach the souls that open their heart to our Mother and her warnings. She guides her children to it. What a magnificent Mother God gave us. Thank you for your work in making these messages known to whomever needs to hear it.
We should print pamphlets about Our Lady of Good Success and her prophecies including the Great Restoration. We should put them in Church issues in Novus Ordo Churches so people can be exposed to the truth of this apparition and its messages which will CRUSH the modernists!

There was a quiet, dirty suppression of Her in my area after 1967.
I was taught very little about Her.
A crime.
And I was teaching Confirmation class, I mentioned Our Lady of Fatima, daily Rosary, avoiding hell. I was relieved of my position.

Thanks for sharing. Now I know why I was brought to tears. Tears of joy. Many times at mass during the offertory I am brought to tears. The priest holds up the host becoming alto Christo and the Blessed Mother is kneeling to the right of the altar in awe of her son.
The Artist commissioned to make the statue made sure to let everyone know that he did not make the statue of Our Mother and infant Jesus, it is said that 4 Angel's surrounded the work the Artist began, and Our Mother appeared and stepped into the stone and morphed it into her shape and likness

I have always yearned to make it known that our wonderful Catholic faith and culture were brought to the Americas by the Spaniards and Portuguese long before Pilgrims and Jamestow

Didn't the Spaniards speak Latin, as did much of the Western World at that time? So depending on where Spain invaded depended on what the language was called..Puerto Rico, Cuba and other island nations, Latin. South America, Central America and Mexico, Hispanic? North American and Canadian Native tribes kept their Indigenous language, until the French and later the English. Again I'm asking here since your a teacher, not stating fact. So be kind

We said this prayer every day when I was in school in the 1950's, although I didn't know anything about the prophesies. I thought it was simply another title of our Blessed Mother. Thank you for this wonderful presentation.

Actually, I first learned of it from A Foundation for a Christian Civilization by means of a translation of Msgr. Cadenza y Almeda's book done by Mr.Jose Zayas and published in 1990.

The prophecies talk about the 20th Century. Yet we are about to start 2020 and never has the situation been worse in the Church than now.
So how long do we still need to wait before the renewal will take place. With each passing day the renewal is delayed is 1 more day when thousands of souls fall into hell. One would have expected to see the renewal in full force in 2019 which is almost 20 years beyond the 20th century. Yet it appears as if the apostasy is only now going into full throttle.
The religious orders of those following tradition are growing albeit most Cardinals who are in charge of the dioceses aren't. Institute of Christ the King, Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter are but a few. So many young ladies who have wanted to become nuns were disheartened by the lack of discipline. I have met at least 4 who lost interest due to many orders being modern. Our faith is rooted in tradition even though our Holy Father hates tradition and militancy. We all need to be spiritual warriors in the Army of Christ the King. Ask yourself this, is our enemy militant and does our enemy hate tradition?
@@michaelprosperity3420 Tradition for the sake of Tradition is idolatry. True wholesome nurturing tradition needs to be discerned from tradition that grew out of habit or even vices.
Just because a tradition is centuries old doesn't make it right. There can also be a tradition of heresy, corruption, blasphemy, impurity etc. For the tradition to have any value and merit it needs to be judged on how it helps us to be faithful to our Catholic faith and teaching.
The advantage of wholesome true tradition is that it anchors certain virtues and characters into one's daily habit. Sometimes holding on to the old tradition can prevent a better and newer tradition from arising.
The problem with Vatican 2 is that it threw out the baby with the bathwater. It got rid of traditions going back centuries without replacing it with anything that nourishes the soul. The tradition must foster devotion and morals otherwise it has no value.
That was well explained. Unfortunately the traditions that are under attack are those that bolster spiritual growth toward the cross. It appears far to many have their back to the cross dialoguing with each other. Traditions rooted in evil must be avoided at all costs lest one lose his soul. I have a ton of books my father left me before his passing and here are a couple I just came across. "The Wisdom of Adrian Fortisque" by Michael Davies and The Early Papacy to the Synod of Chalcedon in 451" Adrian Fortesque. The first one is address many of your points and I think you would find it a good read and not to much of a brain twister. I'm somewhat of a simpleton and get lost easily in a good way. I go to mass no matter what and am not going to miss it if it's not in the extraordinary form. In the Army you gotta take what you find.

We do pray for vocations. In the 70s,80s,90s the tradition was to start your own traditions and many convents turned to nature more akin to wicken. Since Vatican II the traditions have been to embrace the world and secular humanism. I prefer the old mass which to me is new having no memory of it. The new mass has far to many distractions. Nowadays people see priests and nuns as flawed. I see them as holy and look upon our religious with reverence and prayer. I attend mass at St John Cantius in Chicago and it helps me in my walk by attending frequent mass and confession.

What would be the best English translation of the Spanish title. Is "Our Lady of Good Success" the most accurate translation of the Spanish title? Could it be that "Our Lady of Virtuous Achievement" or "Our Lady of favorable fortune" are also just as true to the Spanish title translated as "Our Lady of Good Success?"

Thank you whoever you are. What you are saying would mean an entirely different thing for the laity, but I do not see the laity producing a "prelado" of such outstanding valor, as to turn this destruction of what is internally taking place in Jesus' Catholic Church around. I can only see it as a Church figure in the hierarchy, because that would mean to me that the priests are dead in their existence within the Catholic Church. I have had mystical experiences, but I am certainly not going to be that "prelado", as I see that my family was given to me to make a difference. My 3 kids are all virgins, that I know. I even took my oldest daughter to the doctor to be examined at the age of 15/16 and she is still a virgin. She thanks me to this day for restricting her in every way from ruining her virginity. She is now in Saint Mary's college, and I sent her this video, because it brought tears to my heart when this video mentioned "chastity". I am a servant of our Lord and our Lady, and I prayed the Novena to Our Lady of Good Success with my wife and kids last year, making it long and devoted to Her on each and every day of the novena. I pray ALL of the Rosary (3 mysteries) every day, and I want a full knowledge of Jesus Christ Her Son, so that my family and I are ready for what is to comes. God bless you

"The Rule of the Liberals, 1895-1925
This final ecclesiastical struggle for control of Ecuador was in vain, however. By the end of the Liberals' rule in 1925, Roman Catholicism was no longer the constitutionally mandated state religion, official clerical censorship of reading material had been suppressed, many powerful foreign clergy had been expelled, education had been secularized, civil marriage as well as divorce had been instituted, the concordat with the Vatican had been broken, most of the church's rural properties had been seized by the state, and the republic was no longer dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The Roman Catholic Church in Ecuador would never again hold prerogatives as extensive as those it enjoyed during the late nineteenth century.

Well, in fact there were Spanish Catholic missions all along North America, founded 200 years before any English put a foot there. You can visit them even today. The English made sure to eliminate any trace of their work when they arrived later, spreading the Black Legend against Spain out of hatred and envy, before killing millions of natives. Spanish kings set laws for the protection of the natives, gave them equal rights to the citizens of Spain, protected mixed marriages and their children in 1514 (interracial marriage was illegal in the USA until the 1960s), founded hundreds of universities where the Indians could also enter, and most importantly, took the light of Christ till the ends of the world.
