You couldn’t imagine Beyoncé and country go together but sir if listen to how Beyoncé sings especially in her younger years you can hear country notes in her singing she’s always had a southern twang.
We've been waiting for music videos from her since Act 1. Definetly something up here sleeves to not release any music videos for 2 projects consecutively.
Beyonce already did country. Check out Daddy Lessons performanced on the CMA'S where her fans, the Chicks (Dixie) covered this song on their tour. She heard about it and is a fan of theirs too. They were banned from the CMA'S because they spoke out about then president George bush jr. Their performance was the most watched performance on the CMA'S ever. Beyonce is from Texas, her mom from New Orleans. Her father is from Alabama...so she knows country and southern lifestyle. She has been delving into music that was created by black people but have not been represented. Renaissance act 1 was House Music which is a subgenre stemmed from Disco and Funk... Country came from the Old Negro Spirituals which also produced: Gospel music, Rhythm and Blues, Jazz, Soul. They were storytellers because that's how communication between slaves and freedom fighters was done...in code. Example: Wade in the Water. It was instructions to when and where to meet up for those who were escaping their plantations.
Keith Urban is a great country singer from Australia lol. When Justin Timberlake did a country song it still takes you by surprise (despite him living in Mephis) because it's just not what they're known for.
Please react to 16 carriages by Beyonce it’s the other song she dropped with Texas hold em however it’s a 180 from Texas hold em more story telling but it is country. Also she does have a country song called daddy lessons that she dropped in 2016 one of my favorite country songs ever
Just because you were born somewhere, doesn't mean you're capable, willing or good at changing a genre. That's a skill that a lot of people don't have. Happy to see that she can flourish as a country singer too.
I can't wait to see her perform this live.
You already know that she going to show out

Beyonce was born and raised around Houston, Texas so why are people so surprised that she's got a little country in her? 🙂

#1 on the COUNTRY CHARTS. The FIRST BLACK ARTIST to achieve this.
Kudos, to Mrs Carter.
Actually that would be Charlie Pride in the 70's he had multiple number 1's and was one of the biggest artists of country music
First Black woman at #1. Earlier Tracy Chapman was the first Black woman with a writing credit on a Country song.
Beyonce was born and raised in Texas. She's a southern woman. I don't know why people find it strange that she would do a country album.

You should react to the Pony remix. LOVE IT a bit better than the original
Just watch RUclips. Every other video is of people dancing to her song.
Beyoncé applied for CMA memebership and they denied her wntey to the organisation because they thought it was a prank lol
Where did you see that?
I feel like the end is pretty, but it gets away from country.
