Pretty sure my father, Milt Holland, would've been on percussion, he worked with Frank Duval in his band and Orchestra before they all ended up in the studios, A-Call musicians all. (However my dad did not enjoy playing military music, he liked Jazz oriented scores especially.) He played on West Side Story in the original film score among literally hundreds of others.
