If I am not mistaken, the voice from the beginning of the trailer is the exact same voice actor from Bloodborne, after you defeat The Orphan of Kos. " A bottomless curse, a bottomless sea. Accepting of all that there is and can be."
I don't remember his name but that guy might also be the cut NPC with the dreambrew quest that was also cut.

That's the voice of the fish priest at the beginning of the fishing hamlet.
that would be perfect, the themes of this seem very similar to the old hunters dlc
@9:10 the fire boss has human corpses, dragon corpses, and what appears to be the face of a fire giant skinned and attached to his thighs.
Overall I'm really liking the color palette of this whole world, it's actually grim, dark with high dark fantasy elements unlike base ER which looks and feels dull
Hopefully Miyazaki designed the open world in a way better manner that isn't just empty fields of nothingness with boring and easy enemies to fight
Aside from that, I have no doubt they will deliver with bosses, legacy dungeon designs, gear and lore
Hopefully we get Covenants tho, the game badly needs them
Eurogamer also released a Miyazaki interview where he said that level design will be more dense, and dungeons and overworld will be more seamless. It seems like they learnt their lesson.
10:37 reminds me of Chinese dragon dancing they do during new year festivals and parades.
Messmer somewhat reminds me of a potential third sibling for Melania and Miquella. Sharing the first letter in each name, three siblings for three butterflies, rot, nascent and...smouldering. Since he wields what looks to me like either bloodflame or flame of the fell god. If he is indeed the fell god himself, hidden away in the shadow of the erdtree.
Mesmer has something resembling Exile armor on. The impaler, right. Is he the one who impaled the giants? I think he is either more closely related to Radagon and Rennala’s lineage. He’s like a forgotten child that helped in the war but committed a terrible sin. The reason why people are tortured with briars. Why Radagon’s symbol is thorned and why he is ashamed of the hair color. People think he’s a young Rykard, but Rykard didn’t impale the mountain top giants. Nor was the Praeter known for fighting or impaling people. Don’t even think he was born around that time, but those giant hands are everywhere in the mountain tops. There is the man in the portrait who is later shown impaled by a thorned branch. His insides hollowed out like the trolls and Marika’s own body.
Either way, I love it. Let the speculation continue.

The curtain/cloth covering the Erdtree is a baldachin from the Baldachin's Blessing item. Queen Marika also has a baldachin over her bedchambet in Leyndell

That's right the DLC is finally really here but it feels like we're going have to wait until June this year.
I hope the map of this dlc would be a lot bigger.
Size doesn't matter if it's as dense as it appears ... thats a lot of castles in a small area... it's supposedly a little bigger than all of Limgrave including the south and east

Yes in the interview with Miyazaki, he said the map is very dense. It’s a combination of open world with legacy dungeons and smaller dungeons and may have a DS1 type of design, meaning it could have some interconnected type feel. If that’s the case I can’t wait to explore this new map. Looks amazing!

I am guessing it's a couple of omen. You see a hand grab the bottom jaw to close it, then a foot stomp out. Two pairs, in many animations. It's awesome to see a Lion Dance boss
