I have a ruby cavalier and he is my pride and joy. I had a crate in the lounge and I so believe it creates a grounded and chilled dog. My cooper, was similar not a squeak on the first night, then they realise they want you xx I promised he would not even know there was an upstairs in my home and now 4 years on he jumps in my bed for cuddles and everything hahaha 🙈💞
Charlie is so cute. Yes put a clock in his bed at night and also a hot water bottle (well wrapped up) and he will sleep better at night.
He's adorable. Charlie really suits him, he's a lucky little boy having such a loving home. We have a Maltese named Louis and he is the light of our lives, here's to many years of love and joy with your newest member of the family. xxx

Charlie is absolutely gorgeous he will bring you so much joy ! My two fur babies are 4 now and still like our babies ! If you have had children it’s just like having them all over again when they are small pups !

Adaptil plug ins really helped Gus when he was a puppy to settle at night. He is so settled and so relaxed you are doing an awesome job with him.

😍😍😍 wot a cutie!!. I remember when my frankie was tht little, also remember the 5 oclock starts and sleeping next to his crate...wouldnt of changed it for the world, such a big part of our family now. Enjoy all the cuddles and kisses with charlie. 😍

My heart is melting, Charlie is so adorable ! I had a cavalier king Charles spaniel and said if I got another dog it would be a cavapoo. My daughter has a cockapoo but I much prefer the cavapoo. Hope things are still going well. Xx

You hit the nail on the head saying it was 16 years since Harvey was a pup, you are 16 years older! We found it harder with a Newfoundland pup 7 years later. That bed looks so inviting. Have a lovely precious time.

I really enjoyed this video what an amazing dog owner you are. I cried my eyes out when my dog was a pup and he cried through the first 2 nights and I didnt sleep a wink thinking he was missing his mummy and siblings lol it's such hard work the first 3 months but so, so worth it. It's good for people who want a dog as "a Christmas present" (shudder) to see your video to see the commitment and hard work required before they take the plunge. Charlie is such a lucky pup. Love watching you guys xx

Charlie is beautiful, I’ve always left a radio playing soothing music at night with my dogs , after the first few nights I stopped going to them so they didn’t get rewarded for crying , it was so hard ...I cried lol . But after a few nights they settled and stopped . I still put the radio on when I go out lol .
I’m sure he will settle soon because he’s going to be so loved .xxxx

A very lovely puppy. I have two puppies as well, but they are family.
He's so adorable! And I know it's a bit different but hearing you talk about the vets and watching him sleep reminds me of getting my kitten in June. 8 months old and I still watch her sleeping constantly.

Thank you for sharing you first few days with Charlie, I’ve recently sadly lost my youngest dog to cancer he was only 9 and will be having a puppy when my oldest dog (Alfie nearly 17) passes on, so for now I can watch your puppy antics xxx

Ah he’s beautiful ! Such a sweet little face! I remember bringing Ted home in May the first night he slept and I didn’t (on the sofa) 😂I was awake all night worrying about him lol! He settled so well just like Charlie! Xx
Charlie is adorable. Crate training is so worth it. Our dogs have always been in the crate. Our current dog is 10 and still goes to bed in his crate. I just baby sat my sons AussieDoodle puppy while he moved - I ended up on the sofa for 2 nights!!!

Charlie is so precious, I could watch footage of him all day long, You are making me so puppy broody which isnt a good thing considering I already have 6 dogs. I was always advised that its 2 weeks after the 2nd jab that they are allowed to go outside for walks x

Our puppy used to whimper at night, we covered his crate with blankets and left the radio on very low...seemed to do the trick. It did take a couple of nights though...it’s like having a newborn baby 😂xx
