Been a breeder of dogs, here is a few tips . . . Playing soft gentle music he should settle down very quickly. If you have a tick tock clock, put that in his bed, that will also settle him at night. Take him outside every couple of hours to get him used to peeing outside on the grass. Never too young to house train them. if you allow him to pee inside make sure you clean the spots well otherwise he will always go back there. Leave him outside until he does it. Remember he has to learn to live with you rather than him being the top dog in the home. He has to learn how to spend time on his own, so use the soft music to calm him. Also stop jumping to his every whim. I know its hard but what you do now, is how he will turn out as an adult. Boundaries from an early age makes life a whole lot easier. Also play time when time fits in with your routine. I call it training time. learning to walk on a leash or having something around his neck, or teaching him to fetch his toys. A warning . . . Do not let him jump down from any height until he is at least a year old, to do so can cause elbows and shoulder problems.
Training takes time and patience. Especially the last 2 lol Congrats and say goodbye to carpets and chewable things. Especially important cables I would recommend getting all power/cables as high as possible to stop the puppy chewing on them.
SO true, Max. Lucky we didn't change our carpets yet haha. Have managed to keep him away from power cables so far, hopefully stays that way. 😂 that photo of Toast is gold!
Congratulations, Nalu could not have any better parents. It is so nice that you two were able to plan ahead so you could spend the quality time when you brought him home. Blessings and thanks for sharing your love and enjoyment.
Thanks, Bob. Yeah we really didn't want to take the decision lightly and were so prepared with a lot more things than we even discussed in the video, totally was worth it
Lol, welcome to what every puppy owner experiences with the good intentions vs survival mode. When we got out puppy, it was the beginning of winter (big mistake) and we were having to take her out at least every two hours in the snow and sleet. Miserable for all. But so worth it. May nalu have an incredibly long and healthy life with you two!
@@DanegerAndStacey haha and I loved your reenactment! I don't remember how she felt about it as a puppy, but as an adult she certainly absolutely loved the snow. I however, do not...
Awwww, Nala so smart in puppy school❤️ He is the cutest thing evah! I was clucky for a puppy for about 5 minutes but then realised bringing a puppy home for the first night is not unlike bringing a baby home for the first time, and I’ve done those sleepless nights already 3 times😂. But so worth it for the cuddles, the cuteness and the joy.
We hear ya. We've been told by a few people with kids how hard the first few months are compared to kids, but they stressed thats mostly because you actually have to go outside!
Your new addition is so lucky to have a fun adoring mommy and daddy. My nephew, a cocapoo, love to grab shoes or what ever close, and run around for us to catch him. Have fun!
Aww when I got my pup he was great fun but I didn't take account of how life changing it was. Remember about a week in I had a bit of a meltdown because he was such hard work and I was exhausted but all worth it now a year and a half on. :)

Hi from Florida. We have had 3 sets of dogs and just makes you life so much fun. This last set they are from the same litter and sleep in our bed. This should be lots of love and fun. Be safe and have a great time.
Aw he’s adorable 🥰……puppy training takes time and patience……but they get into a routine soon, I have a 13 year old westie and he’s in the older stage of life that also has its special care, enjoy your fur baby 🐶🐾
Hey guys. I don't know how big your dog already is as I'm writing this, but one thing you can do to make him understand the place where he will pee/poo, is to make like a trail of those pee carpets. You set them apart at some distance, directing him outside for example. When he gets a little bigger he will be able to hold longer, so you start to put only one or two carpets, and then start moving each day closer to the place you want. You can give some treats when he gets it right. At least that's what worked for my dog when he was puppy. The vet said at the time that dogs like to do their needs at soft surfaces. We don't live in a carpeted place like yours, but my dog peed a lot on the bathroom carpets over here, and even on his own bed a few times. But they get it after some time. Hope it helps, and congrats!
Love the tip, thank you! He's grown so fast that he's mostly good with going outside now in a sheltered area, but the odd accident here and there. So amazing watching him grow!
Whst a beautiful bubba. You both look so happy. I had to giggle when you said we thought it would be this way and it all went out the window. 31 years ago I was pregnant with my son. Thought I would have time to cook lovely meals, bake etc. Oh how wrong I was. A good day I got out of my pjs for a while. We didnt eat at the same time for months. One would hold. One would get dinner straight out of the pot nice and hot. Like Nalu he was a crier. Who am I kidding. He was a bloody screamer. Lol. Turns 31 in a few days. Still remember like it was yesterday. He will settle very quickly. Puppies do.
Aww, so sweet!! Congrats! You really should take pictures of him each month as he grows next to a stuffed animal, or whatever, for size difference. I wished I would have done that with my Pomapoo, Pomeranian Poodle mix. My guy was so smart and cuddled like your fur baby is. What years of love & friendship you have ahead of you, so happy for you!
Great idea!! You'd think given what we do that we'd have full memory cards of all the photos and videos but we haven't, we're already regretting not getting more!
HAPPY DAYS.... When you take him out for a pee. Stand by the back door and say "Peepee out side." That way he will be trained to go to the door when he has to go. When he goes outside always give him a treat. Always go out the same door.. Cheers and best wishes from Ray Canada.

Aww guys we wish we'd taken more photos, or come up with a cool way to track his growth... but we've been kinda swept up in the whole thing and treasuring each moment, you can probably relate? Hope you're all doing amazing ❤️
With the puppy kong - Id suggest filling it with just kibble to begin with, this way he can learn that rolling it around and moving it rewards him with the kibble falling out! Once he gets used to the idea that the kong = treats & fun, you can make it harder for him by using the peanut butter!
Talk about proud parents!! This is sooo cool. (Obviously you won Lotto.😆) Great to see you getting into the training with experts too. You should learn about clipping and grooming Stacy, then it'll save you a trip every 6 weeks. Looking forward to watching his time with you great people!
