Cobalt is so cute!!! I think Cobalt was escaping from his original pen by fitting himself through the little vertical bars on the pen. If puppies are small enough, they can wiggle themselves through the vertical bars and escape. That is why it's important to use crates or a pen with cross hatch (and a pen cover to prevent them from climbing over) for a puppy. Lulu and Cobalt are so cute together!!
I just got a cockapoo and I was editing my vlog footage like damn I want another one and then I saw you posted and now i'm convinced the saying is so true that when you start with a specific breed 9/10 times you stick with it LOL , congrats on your new baby !!
Awww that’s so cute - I love cockapoos! I’ll have to check out your video when you post it 😍😍😍 and I 100% agree, it’s so easy to train them and raise them once you know the breed better xx
Thank you! I am thinking of posting one soon, just trying to plan it out :) If you have any suggestions on thigns you'd like to know please let me know :)
Dogs are just the best aren't they Hun and Cobalt is so cute as well. I am sure him and Lulu are getting on like a house on fire lol. How was your hoilday away sweetie ??. I hope you both had lots of fun and made heaps of memories together as well cutie. Great to see you again as well. I hope you will be posting more soon too. XXXX OOOO😊😊🥰🥰😘😘💋💋🐶🐕
Awww Cobalt is precious! I love puppies, though oh my goodness, they are so much work! My least favorite time actually is adolescence. Little chocolate ghost (Casper, the rat terrier, that I am currently raising as a service dog) is approaching that wonderful teenage stage. And I am hoping that it will go by pretty fast. What I have done when bringing a new dog home especially if that dog is a puppy is to allow the puppy to sleep with the older dog if possible. I know that your little girl sleeps with you, but I wonder if it would help Cobalt if she was with him in the crate. Another thing you could try is have him sleep in bed with you, though I recommend putting a leash or tether to him, so that you can always keep track of where he is. This is actually what I do with Casper from day one, though I do it because part of his future task is to sleep with his handler and do things like deep pressure therapy. Anyway, it wouldn't be impossible to teach Cobalt to sleep with you from the beginning. I would just make sure that he learns to only come onto the bed when you give him permission to, not whenever he wants to. If you are worried about him potentially having pee accidents, you could purchase these things called belly bands. They go around the dogs belly and cover his genitalia. I use them occasionally as a tool during house breaking. I apologize if this is nonsensical… I am in a bit of a hurry, but I wanted to share my thoughts before I forgot them. Take care.
Oohh how old is the adolescence stage! Now I’m nervous because his puppy phase has been sleepless but also very cute! We now have them sleep together in our bed and it’s made it so much better! Thank you for the advice :)
@@StephanieJD1.0 the adolescent stage really depends on the dog, but typically you start seeing it at about 6 to 8 months. So, for example, my puppies that I have raised will one day be totally in tuned with what I'm saying, and will carry out all of my commands perfectly, and then the next day boom! They are like what? Sit? What does that mean? most of the dogs I have raised though have been German Shepherds. Casper is my first rat terrier, and terriers typically are pretty stubborn. So the adolescent stage for your boy may not last very long. But if he starts seeming to lose his mind, or ignore your commands at around six months… Welcome to teenage hood! Also, don't forget about the fear periods. The first one is somewhere between 8 to 11 weeks. The second one is at around 6 to 14 months. The first time I experienced the second fear period, I kind of freaked out because the dog I was raising (a female German Shepherd) was super confident one day, and then the next day she spooked at Random things seemingly. That's perfectly normal and you just have to work with and train through it. I'm glad things are more settled with the sleeping situation.
That’s so cute!! Good luck - I definitely think there’s pros and cons! I’m glad my two are so close in age and have each other but omg the second time felt exhausting because lulu had only just learnt the rules of the house (I.e sleeping, peeing, eating routines etc) 💗
@@StephanieJD1.0 I totally feel you on that. I miss the puppy stage but I don't miss the training stage lol. What ive noticed, although it's only been a few days, is that my older pup growls at the little one and other times he tries to play but she is too small. I also noticed that he squints his eyes and frowns his face when I carry her. Any tips?
