- We met with a guy who's been injecting himself with snake venom for 20 years and he looks better than ever.

The hemotoxins which attack human blood cells in a tree viper's venom can result in an agonising death in less than 30 minutes. The neurotoxins in a cobra bite can kill a person in half that time. for the past 20 years Steve Ludwin has been sticking all this lovely deadly snake juice in a syringe and mainlining it all the way to immortality. Privately milking an array of deadly snakes including rattlesnakes, monocled cobras, and a few casual vipers thrown in to the mix, Steve has been injecting what would for any normal human be fatal amounts venom into his body since the late 80s.
The basic principle - laid out by pioneer herpetologist, Bill Haast, who died last year at the age of 100 - is that regular exposure to the venom results in the body developing an immunity. Steve claims to not only never get ill, but that cobra venom is the ultimate pick me up, with effects lasting a days after injecting, making Steve stronger, faster and more resilient. Finally it looks like mainstream scientific research might be catching up.

Yeah same here. I'm a recovering drug addict/alcoholic so I do kinda see where he's coming from and at least he semi somewhat knows what he's doing and he looks pretty damn good for his age. I remember how sore my arms were just from shooting up H I can't even imagine how badly sore and they hurt with snake venom! OUCH! But if that's his thing and he's not hurting anybody, more power to him!

Steve, as of 2019, was still alive, using venom and looking just as great. He played with Nirvana at Reading festival in 1992, and wrote music for Placebo! Thanks to him being willing to do this to himself, great feats have been made in modern medicine.

This is wild!!! I've always been a staunch supporter in doing what you want with your own body- as long as you aren't hurting any other living thing in the process. He definitely has reverence and respect for his snakes, if not outright love, and treats them well. It may be his experimentation that eventually saves thousands of lives, or finds new ways to stop nerve pain, or any number of things. Marie Curie didn't know from the beginning exactly what she had on her hands when she started working with radioactive elements... Brave people do big things, and this guy is definitely more brave than most! Good for him for doing what he wants do do with his own body!

People don't realize this man is more rare and a blessing to humanity and science than any astronaut or other rare job... Maybe, if the virus actually existed beyond faulty testing of a test that has been stated by the maker that it doesn't work for such.
