Puz/zle - Eastman / Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui

In Puz/zle Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui questions and highlights the puzzles that lie behind human relations (emotional, intellectual, sexual), the morphology of the body, and intangibles like musical traditions inspired by and woven together from separate and multiple strands and traditions (so a liturgical composition sung in Spain might have Arabic roots, buried in the sands of time).
With A Filetta, the Corsican polyphonic group, the Lebanese singer Fadia Tomb El-Hage and the Japanese percussionist and flautist Kazunari Abe by his side to dissect how a song, a composition can have various sources all at once, religious and secular, Christian and Muslim, and how traditions that we so easily name European or Oriental are never that definable and monolithic, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui salutes the delightful impurity that constitutes our lives and our planet.

J'ai vu ce spectacle hier soir. Du pur bonheur. Et pourtant je ne suis pas du tout amateur de danse. Mais la recherche graphique, la fluidité et la précision des gestes, les mélanges de musiques et de langues, font de cette oeuvre un moment exceptionnel. Peut-on rêver un jour à la production d'un DVD ? J'ai entendu dire que la bande son était disponible. Si quelqu'un a les références, je suis preneur.

من المعيب والتعدي على ايماننا المسيحي بأن يتم الرقص على ترتيلة لوالدة الإله العزراء مريم ( إن البرايا ياسرها )!
نرجو التضامن ليصار لحزف هذه الرقصة على امجد ترتيلة لوالدة الإله. وعدم المس بمشاعرنا الدينية. التراتيل للعبادات وليس لحفلات الرقص أياً كانت.
ندعو لمقاطعة مهرجانات بعلبك 2013 التي تحتوي من ضمن برنامجها على هذه الرقصة على الحان وكلمات ترتيلة مسيحية . حتى تمتنع الإدارة عن عرض خذه الرقصة والتراجع عن الإهانة لمشاعرنا المسيحية .
