Cuckoo - “finally something different” - Movie review

Seventeen year old (Gretchen ) leaves America to live with her father and his new family in the alps of Germany . While being there Gretchen notices something strange is happening and also something dark and mysterious is living in the woods .
I had only seen two trailers for this movie and I had been curious about it. There have been so many new horror movies that claim to be something new and different … but that was a load of 💩
However, Cuckoo is the most unique horror movies I’ve seen in a very long time . It has a very mysterious , foreign horror movie vibe . Is it perfect … nope .
I am tired of the teenage emo cliche and thankfully our main character evolves from that eventually.
The movie goes from mysterious to over explaining which will turn the uniqueness into silliness . I didn’t love this movie but I respect it for what it is.
If you want something different or a fan of foreign horror movies then I would suggest seeing this movie .
Matinee or stream it.
