Nayuta getting some much needed character development, development she's had all along. Brilliant.
If there is a part 3, I like the idea of the control devil consistently being brought back in a different form to discover some new part of denji's psyche
Barem is the best antagonist in part 2 so far
He's the only real antagonist... though I would not call him great. Apart from Asa the characters are extremely weak.
Barem has been an underhanded coward that feels nothing like Makima and her terrifying presence in part 1. Honestly this Chainsaw man church group isn’t doing it for me, they feel incompetent as hell especially with how fast the Hybrids got taken out by Denji
The real antagonist in part 2 is Denji. Fujimoto has been cooking this main dish this whole time.
@@Revelationscreationhe's great tho he couldn't shoot her so he just manipulated the crowd he's gd with his brain and except asa nayuta is gd she was going to follow makimas path but had great development,Yoshida and fami are great characters I think, both are kinda mysterious but fami is gd with her plans and everyone was thinking all that church thing and everything that was going on wasn't planned but it was famis plan all along and she pulled it, fumika had a gd story and is pretty realistic character and the hybrids we don't know much about them yet except these I don't think there's any other character so I wouldn't call anyone weak

And about barem he's done more fucked up things than makima even until now and is gd at manipulating the crowd + I feel like them loosing to Denji without trying was planned barem cuz this made them fear him more and they attacked him and nayuta or maybe they lost cuz Denji has gotten stronger don't forget the insane power up yoru had

True but we have been given very little context and there was some ambiguity involved.
The chronolgy of everything confused me at first but Fujimoto is such master at guiding a reader with an emotional throughline that make it hard to not let yourself get emotional or at least feel emphaty for what are 2d drawn characters
It's honestly sad that Denji still hates himself for killing his dad
It’s only because of Makima’s manipulation that he believes it’s bad. I mean, he did do it out of self-defense but Makima made it out like it wasn’t “normal” to kill your own parent. This meant to Denji that he couldn’t possibly ever live a normal life as “Denji” but maybe through Chainsaw Man he could start anew, if that makes sense.

Makima's exact words: "Your father, in a drunken state, was about to kill you and you had no choice but to kill him, right?"
I don't mean sound hostile but mostly I don't agree with your theories.
But I do like what you said about Nayuta winning Denji's heart.
Though to me that moment felt more like, she had always tried to find out who she is and with that being the last memory of her reflexion I think it is meant to say that now she did found out who she is now, she is Denji's family, with all those happy moments she concludes in her final moment (whether she dies or not ;( ), who she really has become.
That subject of family sticks out simply because that was also Makima's desire, Nayuta was instintly lingering towards Denji's heart (Pochita's) in an atempt of having a family, but now she has that person in her life, Denji, she loves him, and now she figures he is in fact her family.
And also the word family is what Fuji uses to bridge Nayuta's reflexion to Denji's consciousness.
I was thinking Fami would want to have Nayuta for her so she could be alive but now thinking about it and how Fujimoto likes to kill beloved characters now I find it also really probable to happen.
Though as a narrative if Nayuta really is dead it does move forward but I will find Fujimoto in Japan and throw rocks with the same size as his cruelty to his face.
It's not about agreeing, it about enjoying it together as people in the moment. That is all I ask of anyone. I care not about being right, I've made a career out of being wrong.

Yeah dude I ain't gonna lie, i'm basically only here for the Denji and Nayuta development and to see Barem eventually get a chainsaw rammed through his ass and out his mouth honestly, but like in a good "antagonist you're supposed to hate" sorta way, Public Safety are a bunch of incompetent lolcow shitters, Asa and Yoru are pretty cool but only seem to exist so Fujimoto has an excuse not to bring back the one character everyone wants (Reze) Kishibe has been nonsensical levels of absent and Quanxi is still a character that certainly exists... Who's Fami again? And what the hell was that Fakesaw man plotline building towards exactly?

Moreover why would they even fight horsemen? Maybe u don't understand but horsemen are actually trying to protect the world (in their own ways) but they are trying to protect it both fami and makima were trying to save it

@@BentoYT Thx. I think it'd be cool if Denji was actually a chaos devil or "free will"/ "freedom" kind of devil. It'd explain why he and the control devil are always entangled.
I personally think it’s not a death flashback but a level up flashback, maybe we’ll see the true form of the control devil come out.

Why reveal Nayuta's motive if it's not going to be integral to the story going forward? If Nayuta's redemption was the point, her goal would be brought up a long time ago. If her plan is still to make Denji miserable, that recontextualizess everything about their relationship up to this point
I think she still wants to learn more about herself otherwise last page of her flashback wouldn't be her still seeking answers. Also she killed a civilian which is a common trope used to mark character's descend. And lastly her character was very boring up to this point, besides her being family to denji, she didn't play any other role in the story.
Finding out Nayuta is Makina reincarnated blew my mind 🤌 i knew there qas something familiar about her eyes.
