Saw these guys sing this live last night in IN. Absolutely amazing live performance, and very nice people. They all signed my piano book and I got to talk to them. They are my idols!
It's 5am I have to write an essay for uni and I randomly started thinking about this random song in a random Lizzie McGuire episode where a girl is copying everything she's doing
I actually really like this version better Tha. The original. It's got a nice twist to it. It makes me want to learn how to do the swing so I can dance to it. Lol and they sound really good live
When I saw them onstage I walked into the room as this song was just starting sounded like the opening credits with my name flashing across the opening credits.
I had the pleasure of seeing these guys live at a Jingle Ball YEARS ago in San Diego. I had already knew who they were..But man they blew the doors off that place and brought the house down! It's guys like this that keep swing alive! Any old school swing musician would be proud of these guys. Jusr phenominal musicianship!
I've been told that if Glenn Miller were alive now, he would be so happy that his style is still emulated in a band like BBVD. He was a man way ahead of his time and imagine if he had today's technology!!
"Glenn Miller... style is still emulated .. " You have got to be kiddin. Miller had a fine swing band and a very tight approach with arrangements and solos. It was swing in the old style. This has no relationship at all to GM. Try thinking of Louis Prima eh?
What kind of style of music is this? It's not samba or salsa. Not even close to bumbias. Songo? Lol if it is the drummer is way off. And bass player is playing it wrong lol.
its all about practice and working on being able to get just the right balance of edge but still keep good tone quality. As a jazz trombonist, we are never afraid to just try to push our breath more and control our lips a little less to get those awesome buzzing noises. Things in jazz are much more lax than in other forms of music like concert music or marching. TL:DR: practice and bravery to try new things
Mowgli: "Gee, Cousin Louie! You're doin' real good!" Louie: "Now here's _your_ part of the deal, cuz. Lay the secret on me of Man's Red Fire." Mowgli: "...But I don't know how to make fire."
Alright! Makes you want to get up & do a little samba! Great music, silly song that catches hold of your brain, and then you are swinging! Makes you want to start a conga line!
Saw them tonight at the LPAC. Wow, it was nothing so great as this video. The drum sound sucked, totally muddy, it had no definition and you couldn't hear the lead singer, the piano player, or the lead singer's guitar for most of the night. I couldn't even tell what the names of the band members were from the lead singer's mic, it was too back ground. I couldn't even tell the lead singer played guitar well at all, until the solo moments came. Such a disappointment as their videos indicate a band of precision and dynamics
I'm doing the trombone solo for my high school jazz band, and I'm really excited for it, but I'm also a bit anxious because I'm really far from the skill level of the other members of the jazz band. Any tips?

Who says swing is dead? These guys are awesome! This music will be around forever.
Here 4/2/2021 - I was just thinking the same - Swing will be here forever
Not me!
2023 and drill is a genre. WTF
12/05/2024 and still swinging~
This is salsa tho
Man I really love these guys. These guys were the reason that i went into jazz. Gotta love The Kid. Awesome song to play.
It's the first time I paid attention to the piano part. This song gets better and better everytime I listen to it.
ALRIGHT LES GO SOME DISNEY STUFF! I used to love the original (still kinda do) I wish I knew about this in my jungle book phase (don’t ask)
saw the gang in Laughlin nevada....was a great show.....
Such great picture quality. Very unusual for a recording of a live show.
Definitely worth the price of admission
This sounds like cuban music. Closer to mambo than swing.
Mariachi
Definitely... I can see myself dancing it for sure
This is groovy--great dance music with a Latin flare.
I played this song for my school's jazz band minus the vocalist. I gotta say, this was my favorite song of the year
that would be absolutely AWESOME!!!!!
Great set at the Clearwater Jazz Holiday last Friday night. Thanks for the swing!

I wish I was around to see people like Glenn Miller. But these are the modern swing. Best genre ever!
Increible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! =)
Très belle❤❤❤❤
I have seen them 3 times. They are great live!
It runs in my head. Diga diga doo
This whole concert used to be on RUclips but not anymore. Can some body upload it again? or is there a DVD available?
May have been an other gig.
Flower is in the original Disney song as well. It was not changed. :D
Impresionante! La verdad, unos GENIOS! son lo mejor BBVD♥
Those guys are just awesome... I'd love to see them live... They really should come to Montreal's JazzFest!...
a lovely Latin twist on this tune!!

Love these guys! Gonna see them in concert in Cleveland July 30 2016...can't wait!
this kind of reminds me of Hell by the Squirrel Nut Zippers
Spot on. Excellent observation.
Cubans elements
now the 2016 version :P
"I gotta have more cowbell."
this is better than the original version
HOLY PRECISION TROMBONE... I don't think I've heard playing that clean and crisp in a while.. NICE!
This is a mambo

Класс!!!
Fantastic rendition of the Disney classic!
I don’t know how they play so well with those fangs and claws. They’re so money and they don’t even know it.
anyone here in 2024
Yes, they played in Fountain Valley, CA's outdoor concert series. This was one of the song they played, and it sounded just like this.
How does the trombonist make it sound like that?
its the mustache

+abe lincoln we definitely need to whatever and chill
+Magical Midget Pete you too Lixxxie 😂
Daniel Glazer let me know when you're in colorado springs and we'll shoot stuff and get drunk not necessarily in that order
This is just another one of those songs that are just impossible to dislike. Honestly, compared to this, modern "music" is just terrible.

Louie: "Now here's _your_ part of the deal, cuz. Lay the secret on me of Man's Red Fire."

Everyone should join as one and do the conga.
Alright! Makes you want to get up & do a little samba!

I didn't know that Mahler played piano...
Let's be realistic, dubstep sucks compared to the sound of a rapid bowel evacuation of a 600 pound man.
PlagueHarlequin
WTF
I played this version in jazz band :DDDD So badass!!
They better play this when they preform at Disney
this would be a great song for Drum and Bugle Corp for concert formation...
i love the wood winds and brass but i think the paino just makes the song
Jungle Book any one?
I want to compliment all people who are responsible for this recording. It is a real feat of many and varied skills. I enjoy this more than Ballo
.
Fun song!
I wish I knew the pleasure you can feel while playing an instrument.. especially playing this song
i love this song :D
Actually a Mambo
Who needs chairs?
Слухаю цих хлопців щодня, вони додають життя
BBVD Playing Springfield, Ohio TONIGHT!!! I can't wait. Frontrow seats!!!
This is not as good as the album version. They are incredibly stiff and metronomic.
Nobody can compete with Louis Prima and the Wildest.
I love BBVD but come on ! Strong version but not better close but ohhhhh no 🤓
Just found this band and on your 3rd song and have loved them all.
That drummer controls the groove.
😁Great band, indeed great! What say you?
I wanna be..
Just like you !
A turtle
i wanna walk like you talk like you too
On summer vacation
I love these guys ! This is my favorite version of this song.
Rip roaring good!
So sad T.T They came to my town, I got a flier, and I was like "I should go..." Then I didn't go...

It ain't Louis Prima, but they're fun! Watched them live in Reno many years back
Anyone know the name of the trumpet soloist?
Tim Miller He goes by the name of GLEN "THE KID" MARHEVKA.
Bravo 🎩❤
They should do Adam Ants Goody Two Shoes

1940's Swing is the best!
The toe fungus ad sabotaged it. Boo.
Sax players are always hot *non-biased opinion*
For my jazz show i have to dance to this song i love it
